Salary: DOE, $55,000.00 - $70,000.00

We are a Santa Ana based Yoga and Active Lifestyle brand looking for a well qualified Technical Designer to add to our design team in our headquarters in Santa Ana, CA. We are a young company experiencing rapid growth across all our divisions and are looking to ass an experienced Technical Designer to our team.

POSITION SUMMARY
The candidate, and possess outstanding communication skills and attention to detail. Must be fully proficient in Ai, Photoshop, and Excel.

Previous experience working in the fitness, swim, yoga, action sports, lingerie markets are ideal.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Degrees in Fashion and /or Technical Design and Merchandising
• 5-7 years Technical Design experience
• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Excel
• MAC Proficiency
• Ability to multi-task and communicate clearly with global suppliers.
• Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
• Proficient in English and Mandarin a huge advantage but not a necessity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work directly with our designers to translate and implement their designs into flat technical sketches.
• Extensive knowledgeable of garment construction and ability to build detailed tech packs
• Work directly and manage all suppliers to execute new designs, prints and trims into production ready samples.
• Manage all trims development, lab dip and strike off approvals with suppliers.
• Lead and take charge of fit sessions with fit models from initial proto stage to final production approved stage.
• Manage and communicate all technical details throughout the development and production stages to key suppliers domestically and overseas.
• Work directly with our Designers, Production Manager and Sales department to initiate and coordinate sales samples. Co-ordinate and communicate information to ensure on time and accurate development for samples and production.
• Proficient creating flat sketches in Illustrator for all product categories. Ability to do basic cads and print re colors a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills a necessity. Experience with working with suppliers in Asia and the US suppliers.
