Full-time position located in Carlsbad, CA. Hybrid schedule requires minimum of three days per week in the office.

This is full time position ideal for someone with 8+ years of paid media and digital marketing experience (either brand or agency) looking to join the fastest growing audio brand and dynamic marketing team. The Director, Media and Digital Marketing will have a knack for media buying and experience managing and understanding the full-funnel consumer journey – from awareness spends to performance marketing. Someone who loves a mix of data analysis and brand building – and doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves to get the job done will thrive in this role.

Responsibilities include:

Paid Media – 50%
• Paid Media Execution & Strategy: Drive and manage upper funnel paid media campaigns to drive brand awareness, engagement and in some cases conversion/revenue, and LTV while maintaining budgets and set goals. Manage all aspects of Google AdWords, GDN, and YouTube campaigns. Work closely with the marketing and ecomm team to ensure paid strategy is hitting upper funnel KPIs.
• Paid Social Execution & Strategy: Drive and manage all paid social media campaigns with a full funnel approach to drive growth while maintaining strategic goals. Manage campaigns across multiple platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok, etc). Work closely with the Marketing and Content teams to continually improve visibility and performance of acquisition channels and campaigns.
• Programmatic/Connected TV: Develop and plan go-to-market campaigns and strategies across multiple channels including programmatic and CTV/OTT. Analyze results to optimize spends across each paid channel to ensure goals are being met.
• Audience Research and Segmentation: Own all aspects of keyword and audience research to improve visibility and customer acquisition across multiple channels. Continually build and test new segments that drive fast growth with higher ROIs. Report findings to inform marketing and creative teams to optimize content for growth in new audiences.
• Optimization of all paid media and customer segmentation.


Digital Marketing and Strategy – 50%
• Lead strategy of email marketing, SMS, app and other owned channels with support from the digital marketing manager
• Build strategy of audience segmentation and funnels to ensure JLab captures new and returning customers
• Build loyalty and LTV strategy with support from the digital marketing manager
• Support international growth strategy across digital marketing efforts
• Lead strategy of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, TikTok and others as needed
• Manage and train and collaborate with direct reports
