Overview
LULA 101 is an international apparel distributor and licensee that provides U.S. streetwear, lifestyle and action-sports brands to its Asia Pacific markets. We are looking for a creative and technically skilled, full-time, in-house Product Development Associate to join our team. Experience in design, product development, sourcing, negotiation and production supervision, the Product Development Associate will be part of a small design/development team to research the market, design tech packs, sourcing with overseas suppliers and guiding the production of licensed products.
(Note: Only applicants with Apparel Product Development and Adobe Illustrator experience will be considered for this position.)
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
• Assist the design/product development team on all aspects of the processes, including but not limited to: sourcing and production, managing costs, creating tech packs, line sheets, tracking deliveries, managing trims, concepts, mockups and designs
• Create and maintain a WIP (Work in Progress) Production Management Reports for the team to track progress and to enhance efficiency
• Communicate with licensors regularly on all aspects of concept and sample approvals; PO submissions; shipment documents and royalty reports
• Work closely with domestic and overseas suppliers on all aspects of current and upcoming productions to ensure quality, accuracy and timelines of all products
• Coordinate with QC managers/companies to conduct during-production inspection and pre-shipment inspection to ensure quality and accuracy of product meets internal and external satisfaction requirements
• Monitor sales trends, customer feedback and competitive environment to identify potential growth areas and areas that need improvements
• Conduct cost analyses and pricing negotiations to ensure product pricing is competitive and maximizes profits at all stages of development
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review design inspirations, product details and delivery schedules to maximize sales results; achieve revenue and profitability goals
• Provide reports to management
