We are looking for a creative and technically skilled, full-time, in-house Product Development Manager to join our team. Experience in design, product development, sourcing, negotiation and production management, the Product Development Manager will be leading a small design and development team to research the market, design new products, sourcing with overseas suppliers and manage the production of the licensed products.

Responsibilities including but not limited to:

⏵ Lead the design and product development team daily on all aspects of development, including but not limited to concepts, mockups, design, tech packs, line sheets, costs, sourcing and production

⏵ Assist the team with creating designs, building tech packs, tracking deliveries, managing trims, etc. when needed

⏵ Provide ongoing product training and tactical support to the team to ensure products are consistent with brand vision, on schedule and profitable

⏵ Create and maintain a WIP (Work in Progress) Reports for the team to track progress and to enhance efficiency

⏵ Communicate with licensors regularly on all aspects of concept and sample approvals; PO submissions; shipment documents and royalty reports

⏵ Work closely with domestic and overseas suppliers on all aspects of current and upcoming productions to ensure quality, accuracy and timelines of all products

⏵ Coordinate with QC Manager/company to conduct During-Production Inspection and Pre-Shipment Inspection to ensure quality and accuracy of product meets internal and external satisfaction requirements

⏵ Monitor sales trends, customer feedback and competitive environment to identify potential growth areas and areas that need improvements

⏵ Conduct cost analyses and pricing negotiations to ensure product pricing is competitive and maximizes profits at all stages of development

⏵ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review design inspirations, product details and delivery schedules to maximize sales results; achieve revenue and profitability goals

⏵ Provide Reports to management

⏵ Other duties as assigned.


⏵ Bilingual: English and Mandarin

⏵ Minimum of 5 years of experience in apparel design and product development

⏵ Minimum of 2 years managing a team in apparel design and development environment

⏵ Minimum of 2 years of ERP and PLM experience

⏵ Bachelor’s degree in an apparel-related field required

⏵ Stay current with the latest trends in design and apparel

⏵ Keep up-to-date with changes in the market and technology that may affect new product development

⏵ Detail-oriented with strong follow-through abilities to handle and prioritize multiple tasks within deadlines

⏵ Solid knowledge of design process, product construction and manufacturing techniques

⏵ Leadership and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams

⏵ Strong problem-solving skills

⏵ Proficiency with software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office

⏵ Occasional travel to manufacturing locations

⏵ A sense of humor and team spirit
