The Manager, Brand Communications drives national communications campaigns with a focus on earned traditional/social media placements and opinion leader engagement for Brand Marketing initiatives (new product launches, consumption occasion campaigns, collegiate marketing projects, and consumer activations). The role reports to the Director, Brand Communications. This role requires an experienced communications expert with a strong national media and opinion leader rolodex, strategic mindset, strong project management skills, and experience with internal cross-functional collaboration. Must have experience successfully managing a PR agency. Passion for the product, energy and a strong desire to express creativity will round out the successful candidate for the role of Manager, Brand Communications. Areas that play to your strengths (all the responsibilities we'll trust you with) Expand all Collapse All BRAND COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGNS Develop and execute strategic Brand Communication plans, execute the earned outcome and lead cross-functionally via strong project management skills to deliver an on time and in budget campaign
Integrate product (can) communications opportunities into sports and culture initiatives
Support the Brand Communications business planning process and deliver a full-year plan that fully supports the Brand Marketing plan using communications strategy and tactics

MEDIA RELATIONS Cultivate a strong network of media and opinion leader contacts (bring a strong rolodex)
Know how to find the story, what tools are needed, and how to best amplify that content
Secure media coverage from product and brand-centric stories that: capitalize on news moments, highlight reasons to consume the product & give wings to people and their ideas
Create communications tools; may include photos or other graphical means to illustrate the brand and product in earned media (experience and an eye for product photography a plus)
Knowledge of trends in the media events space to ensure Brand Communications media events and activations are forward thinking and media friendly

CONTENT AMPLIFICATION When a product or occasion story can be best told through video on a partner channel, the brand communications role is responsible for creating the story idea, the earned/partner distribution plan and commissioning the video through the content team

GENERAL MANAGEMENT Maintain systems to track, optimize and forecast campaign successes
Identify success metrics, set-up campaign reporting and optimization cadence and apply learnings from previous / similar campaigns
Produce plan and recap presentations that will be shared among key stakeholders
