Front-End Web Developer | Tech Prod Job in Santa Ana, VT

The Web Developer is responsible for collaborating with the marketing, creative, merchandising, and user experience teams to execute and manage on-site marketing promotions. The core responsibilities include content management, front-end development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript/jQuery), troubleshooting bugs related to promotions and CMS tools, and some KPI analysis. Marketing promotions include visual banners, guides/lookbooks, shipping offers, and discount codes. This is a highly collaborative position. You’ll work with multiple departments across the organization. About the Job: • Responsible for coordinating, testing and executing all onsite marketing campaigns for multiple retail sites according to the marketing calendar • Code, cross browser test, and deploy responsive promotional landing pages • Create, test, bug fix, and maintain complex product guide and look book pages • Ownership of the maintenance and development of single page NodeJS application for banner automation • Ownership of knowledge sharing, and process improvements within the Tech Production team • Collaborate with design team to incorporate visual design with functional user interactions • Create and test coupon codes and cart promotions • Create, test, and deploy iOS Application Rich Push Messages • Work closely with multiple departments on challenging technical features • Proactively define and communicate risks with production and upper management • Support the marketing and business projects to enable A/B testing for dedicated pages, promos/customer experience evaluation, etc. • Support the marketing projects and product management team’s analytics requirements to ensure ongoing performance optimization • Troubleshoot coding issues and bugs relating to content management • Available for after hours and weekend changes and fixes About You: • Fluent in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, jQuery, and Compass • Proficient in NodeJS, Angular, Express, and DustJS • Experience with Urban Airship, NPM and Grunt • Experience with version control, preferably Git and GitLab • Experience with Akamai Caching preferred • Technically proficient in Adobe Photoshop, and other Adobe tools • Must have experience with Excel, and MS Office Products • Must possess an acute attention to detail • Strong organizational and time management skills • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects successfully under tight deadlines • Ability to collaborate across multiple departments in multiple disciplines • Utilize strong communication skills to inform production teams of status and to resolve conflict where confusion may arise • Omniture experience preferred • E-commerce site development experience preferred • Proficient with cross-platform and browser compatibility issues About Backcountry Our mission is to connect people to their passions.
