The Visual Site Merchandising Manager position is responsible for leading a team of site merchandisers and ensuring that products we sell are categorized, searchable, and relevant to our customers across our platform of sites. The Individual will be able to work cross functionally with Site Owners, Marketing, Engineering, and Merchandising and is the merchandising owner for our site experience. About the Job: • Collaborate with Marketing, Email and Tech Production teams for promotion creation and direction. • Coordinate with buying team to identify key styles, brands, and categories for optimal product visibility within promotions and search pages for Backcountry, Competitive Cyclist and Steep and Cheap. • Drive internal KPI’s for revenue and customer engagement on Steep and Cheap and promotional pages on Backcountry and Competitive Cyclist. • Aligns with Merchandising and Operations around the selling strategy on Steep and Cheap and executes promotion concepts. • Works with Planners and Buyers to push best possible pricing for off price inventory on Steep and cheap. • Works with Marketing and Merchandising to execute and refine promotions on all sites by defining featured products and refining the boosting and sort order for promotions. • Demonstrate creative excellence in maintaining brand narrative through innovative seasonal, campaign and product stories. • Ensures all inventory on Backcountry, Competitive Cyclist, and Steep and Cheap is merchandised and boosted to maximize sales. • Manages a team of Visual Site merchandisers. • Works closely with Engineering and Product to ensure all customer experience initiatives are met. • Work with all partners to drive financial results that maximize sales and bottom line profitability. • Keep current with best practices in VM across all types of retail and wholesale. • Elevate brand narrative by adapting current visual trends to the Backcountry brand. About You: • 5+ years of experience in a Merchandising position, with at least 3 years at an e-commerce company. • 1+ year(s) of experience managing at least 3 direct reports • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills. • Be hungry for innovation and elevation within retail industry VM standards. • Able to develop and maintain strong working relationships with peers and cross-functional teams. • Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities. • Able to perform under pressure, organize and prioritize workload to meet deadline. • Able to effectively communicate and present to stakeholders within the Backcountry organization. • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel and strong aptitude to learn technical applications quickly • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent presentation skills. • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
