About the job

The Email Analyst is responsible for being the resident expert for all email technologies, primarily focused on our email service provider (ESP). The core responsibilities include technical troubleshooting , tool maintenance and upgrades, recommending solutions to complex email strategy execution, complex workflow configuration, and leveraging the ESP to implement new tools and tactics. This is a highly collaborative position. You’ll work with multiple departments across the organization including marketing analytics, engineering and data science About the Job: Build complex workflows across multiple systems Automate common lifecycle moments (abandon cart reminders for example) Troubleshoot coding issues and bugs relating to marketing automation Proactively define and communicate risks with email team and upper management Manage marketing automation operations Interface with the data science team on affinity and clustering modeling Leverage ESP to implement new features and tactics. Train the email team on how to best integrate these tools and tactics into their email strategies Provide a regular cadence of reporting on the current health of the systems and status of improvement projects Work closely with multiple departments on challenging ESP integrations About You: 2-3 years marketing automation software support experience Proficient in HTML, CSS, Javascript, C++, and Python. Advanced experience with email service providers (Adobe Campaign a strong plus) Must possess an acute attention to detail Strong organizational and time management skills Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects successfully under tight deadlines Ability to collaborate across multiple departments in multiple disciplines Utilize strong communication skills to inform email team of status of issues or projects and to resolve conflict where confusion may arise About Backcountry Our mission is to connect people to their passions.
