PAID SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST Backcountry’s Social Media Team is seeking a Paid Social Media Specialist to support our growth in paid social marketing channels. This role will sit within the Backcountry Brand Creative team and will also report to the Brand Manager overseeing Backcountry’s social media program. This dynamic thinker (and doer) will be responsible for creating, building and executing our paid social campaigns, driving results across legacy and new paid social marketing channels. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced, data-driven test and learn environment, has extreme attention to detail and takes ownership of their projects. The Paid Social Media Specialist has both a focus on brand marketing and an appreciation for design, and also a passion for the data behind what makes a successful social media ad. They will drive our test and learn approach to paid social creative, and based on ad results, will continue to iterate on the creative output and further scale the program. About the Job:Using Backcountry’s internal assets (photography and video) and creative brand guidelines, build social media assets for various campaign objectives using Facebook’s internal creative tools, or similar easy to scale creative solutions Create, implement, track, analyze and optimize large-scale complex paid social advertising campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and more Deliver analysis and insights that help the brand marketing team achieve its goals Support project briefs and execute paid social strategies, working alongside a designer and copywriter to bring campaigns to market Create and deliver weekly and monthly reporting on campaign performance, with support of data analyst and social media brand manager Stay up to date on new ad units and make program recommendations as necessary Maintain a pulse on best in class creative across our outdoor, retail and similar industries Monitor and engage in online conversations across our ad units About You: 1-2+ years of relevant work experience in social media advertising or media planning and/or another highly quantitative, analytical, and results-driven experience. Critical, conceptual thinker with excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently under deadline Embraces a data-driven creative approach, continuously evolving creative based on channel performance Social media platform proficiency (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, SnapChat, etc) Exposure to data analytics, including experience using Adobe Analytics Advanced knowledge of Facebook Power Editor and Pixel tracking Experience in Adobe Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Experience with project management tools, and Keynote/PowerPoint Experience in working with an agency is preferred, but not required Some experience with Illustrator, Photoshop and Lightroom preferred
