POSITION TITLE: Sr. Financial Analyst, Technology
REPORTS TO: Sr. Manager / Manager, FP&A
BUSINESS/COMPANY/DEPARTMENT: Finance / FP&A
LOCATION: Park City, SLC, Remote
The Sr. Financial Analyst, Technology is responsible for managing the financial planning, forecasting, and reporting for the company’s technology expenses; including strategic planning, annual operating/budget review, forecasts, reporting of key metrics, driving analysis on new projects and supporting the Technology team. Included in these requirements are: analysis of new projects, providing financial support on key initiatives, tracking project costs, cost/benefit analyses, NPV/return on investment analyses and development of effective communication to senior management. This role will also have the responsibility to build and maintain strong processes for collecting, analyzing, and reviewing financial information from throughout the organization and for building strong relationships with Technology leadership.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Provide complete financial support for Technology team
? Develop and upgrade critical finance processes, business, and review cadence, including leading the monthly and annual financial management cycles
? Partner with the VPs of Technology and Manager of FP&A to standardize processes and drive best practices throughout the organization
? Build and update financial models and budgets and perform ad hoc data inquiries as needed.
? Work with business intelligence tools to extract relevant data as needed. Work with BI team members to gather data as required.
? Demonstrate working knowledge of concepts and principles of business metrics and analyses, including their application to effective reporting and analysis.
? Responsible for financial storytelling in monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting processes.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Stay current on retail industry trends and developments; stay current with the latest analytics trends and developments. Discuss trends with FP&A team members and make recommendations as appropriate.
? Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
? Four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required. The preferred degree path is economics, finance, accounting, mathematics, or business administration.
? 3-5 years of professional experience.
? Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint skills required.
? Must be curious and interested in learning FP&A.
? Proficient Microsoft Office skills in Word and Outlook required.
? The ability to understand and read financial budgets, reports, models, and data is required.
? Basic understanding of financial reports and preparation of dashboards is required.
? Prior experience working with Looker and/ or NetSuite a plus.
