Ski/Snowboard Technician (Customer Service and Rental Services)

MARTY’S RENTAL SHOP - CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RENTAL SERVICES ! PARK CITY, UTAH

This role requires someone who is passionate about getting outside and enjoys sharing that passion with others! You’ll be expected to provide next-level service and problem solving to deliver a best-in-class customer experience. We are seeking a ski/snowboard technician and gearhead to assist guests with ski and snowboard rental equipment, tuning, and retail purchases. As a gearhead, you’ll be someone who is comfortable speaking with and engaging with customers and recommending the right gear to pursue their passions in the outdoors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acknowledge customers quickly and courteously and assist them on the retail floor and register.
Spend time at the Marty's rental location as well as the Backcountry retail store in Kimball Junction helping customers with a variety of products.
Recommend ski/board length and make sure bindings are set correctly for skill level as well as properly fit quests with rental boots for skiing and/or snowboarding
Provide recommendations for customer hard good and soft good purchases.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource to customers in the Park City area and surrounding resorts.
Learn about rental and retail software and obtain rental tech certification and binding indemnifications.
Complete accurate paperwork and organize workspace to ensure a safe and clean area.
Demonstrate a professional guest service attitude and willingness to help guests and co-workers.
Adhere to all company policies, guidelines, and safety procedures regarding use of tools and equipment
Ensure that guests reservations are completed accurately.
Check-in and review all returned rentals to ensure they are in working order and document any potential damage.
Complete tuning of customer equipment with great attention to detail in an efficient manner.
Communicate professionally with customers and coworkers.
Other duties are assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

High School diploma or equivalent is preferred
Clear and concise verbal communication skills
Self-directed and able to maximize use of time
Dependable and a team player
Detail oriented and able to complete tasks efficiently
Exemplifies professional conduct and adherence to company Core Values
Ski/Snowboard Technician experience preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Evenings, weekends and holidays are a regular part of the schedule
Must have excellent attendance and conduct record for consideration
The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time
The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds
