United Sports Brand is looking for a Marketing Communications Senior Mgr./Director to join their team in Fountain Valley, CA.

Position Overview:

The Marketing Communications Senior Mgr./Director role plays a key strategic and marketing functional leadership role responsible for consumer and trade marketing strategy development, planning, integration and execution through both internal teams/resources and external agency partners. This role reports to SVP, Marketing and is a key member of several internal cross-functional business teams.

Essential Functions:

• Consumer marketing annual planning, strategy development and execution of tactics including consumer media/advertising, public relations, social media, partnership/athlete activation, retail merchandising, packaging, promotions, and event marketing. Tactical execution management includes budget planning and tracking, project management, cross-functional coordination, vendor management, photography production, onsite event management, etc.
• Creative/copywriting process leadership through internal team, external agency and freelance resources, oversight of creative execution, capture and communicate creative briefs, develop look & feel guidelines, and management approval process.
• Develop and upkeep master rolling promotion calendar ensuring effective internal communication and planning.
• In partnership with Sales leaders, lead effective trade marketing annual planning and strategy development process. Lead effective execution of annual plans and tactics including tradeshows, packaging changes, catalog development, and POS/merchandising tactics. Establish and communicate optimal process to manage sales requests, prioritization and execution. Project coordination and planning of sales team tools and initiatives.
• Develop annual plan integrating public relations, social media, sponsorship/partnership/athlete endorsements, media, merchandising and web. Support with cohesive tactical execution plan.
• Participate in the development of new and existing product marketing plans, packaging strategy, brand strategy, and website / ECOM channel strategy.
• As a key member of the cross-functional business teams, responsible for being a liaison between marketing and other functions within the company.
• Assist SVP in development of annual promotion and department budget tracking and management.
• Ensure brand cohesiveness and consistency in use of content and creative.
• Responsible for leading vendor selection and relationship management with external marketing agencies and partners.
• Management of department electronic files, artwork files and knowledge transfer between vendors and United Sports Brands.
• Lead, coach and develop marketing communications team.
• Supervision/management of current team comprised of Traffic/Production Manager, Digital Content Creator, Marketing Specialist, 2 Graphic Designers, 3 Social Media Specialists
