Currently, we are searching for an aspiring Junior Graphic Designer to join our North American creative team. KISKA’s demands of a Junior Graphic Designer requires exceptional attention to detail, a strong work ethic and experience with graphic design. Overall, your role will assist in marketing our clients’ brand identity through a broad variety of print and digital materials.
Working closely with our lead design team, you will find yourself thinking outside the box to assist in delivering products above the industry standards. With our primary clients including KTM North America and Husqvarna Motorcycles North America, you should ideally be knee-deep in the world of motorcycles, dirt bikes and action sports.
As an efficient Junior Graphic Designer, you will support the Senior Designers in completing various projects in a timely manner. You should be comfortable multi-tasking and maintaining clear communication with both clients and the design team. As special projects arise, you may find yourself performing in other graphic based duties as required.
In working with our core clients, your role as Junior Graphic Designer will require you to absorb each brands identity and visually bring them to life. This opening is the perfect opportunity for the eager Junior Graphic Designer to jump in to the world of all things design. If you are the ideal candidate, you will be confident in bringing your ideas and skills to the table to execute projects in an effective, professional and simple manner.
As part of the Southern California team, you will also be regularly collaborating with some of the world’s top creative professionals who are based at our headquarters in Salzburg, Austria. Therefore, this position is internationally oriented and you will have the opportunity to travel and connect with our European facility.
The KISKA approach to design is interdisciplinary and the setup allows the Junior Graphic Designer, his team members and our clients to share ideas across a vast range of skills, mediums, knowledge bases and fields of experience – covering the full spectrum of design and communication disciplines. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Print design production: catalogs, brochures, magazine ad campaigns, flyers, sales sheets, postcards, order forms, PowerPoint templates, stickers and signage
• Web design production: banner ads, social media assets and image/file optimization for web
• Graphics: Logos, photo retouching and clipping paths, video supers and other graphic assets
• Performs other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
• Minimum of 1 - 3 years graphic design experience
• Working knowledge primarily of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign
• Proficiency in Macintosh OSX environment
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
• BA or AA degree in graphic design or equivalent work experience
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Self-motivated with a positive, professional attitude
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adjust priorities to meet changing deadlines
• Strong organizational work habits
• Experience within motorcycle or action sports industries is a plus
