The Digital Marketing Specialist (Retention) will be responsible for planning and executing across retention marketing including email, loyalty, direct mail, and partial website communications for Vuori Clothing. You will be responsible for uncovering insights, identifying opportunities, and executing owned channel and retention related marketing tactics. This role works within the e-commerce team but collaborates with design, project management, technology, and planning to ensure all communications to the customer are premium, accurate, and align with the brand values.

The ideal candidate will have a fascination with marketing, a creative but data-driven mind and an eagerness to learn more about retention marketing and e-commerce. A willingness to be nimble while testing and learning within each channel is highly desired.

Overview


⏵ Create and manage website and email calendar by collaborating with key marketing stakeholders to populate and maintain

⏵ Manage deployment and testing of additional owned channel and retention marketing tactics including site personalization, direct mail, referral and loyalty program tactics

⏵ Monitor and report on email, website, and messaging campaigns within owned channels including website, ESP, loyalty, referral, SMS, and direct mail

⏵ Work with creative team to identify assets necessary for all marketing communications within owned channels and retention channels

Email


⏵ Project manage email from entering each request into workflow through kickoff to design handoff to testing and deployment

⏵ Build, produce, test, and schedule emails from start to finish within ESP

⏵ Manage email cadence and health of email marketing list to ensure compliance with the highest deliverability standards

⏵ Using basic html and css, code customize emails within templates

⏵ Build and test various user segments for email and site communications within ESP

⏵ Manage deliverability and customer data standards to ensure sender reputation is pristine

Loyalty/Referral


⏵ Collaborate with e-commerce and brand marketing to execute the tactical deployment of loyalty efforts including loyalty benefits, communications, and perks

⏵ Manage and track loyalty benefits online and in-store to provide performance to benchmarks

⏵ Manage referral program communications in partnership with e-commerce team

Direct Mail


⏵ Collaborate with e-commerce team and external consultants to plan and execute direct mail initiatives

⏵ Opportunity to be business owner of the direct mail channel over time

Site Content


⏵ Owner of website creative calendar, seasonal drops project management, and deployment of imagery updates in partnership with the technology, design, and planning teams

⏵ Light merchandising collections pages as needed – based on traffic driving initiatives to these pages and product revenue goals in collaboration with technology

Qualifications


⏵ 2-4 years experience in email and/or retention marketing, with a focus on e-commerce

⏵ Familiarity with principles of database marketing segmentation and data privacy

⏵ Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS

⏵ Knowledge of email client basics desktop and mobile

⏵ High level understanding of analytics and reporting

⏵ Desire to work in ecommerce, preferably at an apparel brand

⏵ Excellent proofreading and attention to detail

⏵ Flexibility, able to adjust on the fly to changes in deadlines and asset availability

⏵ Experience with Shopify and email platforms

⏵ Knowledge and experience with retention and loyalty program initiatives preferred
