Who We Are

We are looking to hire an eCommerce Customer Service Specialist. Founded in 1980, Cleanline Surf is a thriving leader in the surf industry with opportunities for advancement through both our brick & mortar stores as well as our online store. With locations in both Seaside and Cannon Beach, Oregon, we strive to continue to raise the bar by offering our customers top-quality, state of the art products with the best customer service possible. We work hard at keeping our standards high and our customers stoked.

Who You Are

Self-motivated, hardworking, and proactive with a positive attitude and at least two years of customer service experience. You will need to multitask between multiple desktop programs, prioritize issues and resolve them in a timely manner. You can handle stress and deal with upset customers easily. If you're an outdoor enthusiast that is a plus. This is a great position in an amazing location, with miles of nearby trails to hike and beaches to explore as well as a great community to get involved with.

Required

• At least 2 years of customer service experience
• A good understanding of eCommerce websites and how customers use them to shop
• Type at 50 wpm
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work with team members and communicate clearly and concisely
• Excellent telephone skills
• Excellent grammar, verbal and written
• Ability to learn new software and products quickly
• Stoke for surfing and the surf lifestyle
• Knowledge of the surfing and the surf industry

Qualities we are looking for

• You are able to stay calm when dealing with upset customers
• You work well with other team members and are considerate of their needs

Responsibilities include

• Take orders over the phone and key them into our system quickly and accurately
• Take detailed notes in our system to keep other team members in the loop
• Respond daily to emails, phone requests, and chats regarding eCommerce questions, shipping updates, special pricing and more
• Resolve customer concerns to a satisfactory conclusion
• Reach out to vendors to source products for customers, or check availability and pricing
• Help resolve issues with UPS, USPS, and Fedex where customers have not received their package. Keep customer up to date as to the status of such inquiries
• Ability to multi-task data entry, research in several software products and internet engines as well as managing phone inquiries with speed and accuracy
• Must be focused, detail-minded, organized, and efficient
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Confident phone voice and clear pronunciation to be easily understood by the consumer
Assist customer in buying decisions (offer upsells and presenting appropriate alternatives)
