Job Description
The Motorcycle Industry Council (MIC) is the national trade association representing manufacturers and distributors of motorcycles, scooters, motorcycle/ATV/ROV parts and accessories, and members of allied trades such as insurance, finance and investment firms, media companies and consultants. MIC Events is primarily responsible for producing the American International Motorcycle Expo presented by Nationwide. The AIMExpo was created to serve as the catalyst to bring together industry, press, dealers and consumers in a single arena that creates a grand stage for motorcycling and powersports in the U.S. and North America, and delivers an efficient and energetic market-timed expo platform for B2B and B2C in the greater powersports industry.

The Motorcycle Industry Council is looking for a Marketing & Operations Coordinator. The Marketing & Operations Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all marketing initiatives from conception through production and distribution phases. The Coordinator support the development and execution of event marketing for the American International Motorcycle Expo (AIMExpo) with focus on the consumer and trade sectors. Includes, attendance-building initiatives, development and execution of B2B communications, brand awareness and facilitate exhibit space and sponsorship sales marketing collateral.

Job Duties include (but aren’t limited to):

• Manages and develops strategy and content plan for all digital marketing and social media. Works with PR agency on execution of all digital marketing and social media initiatives. Ensure content is engaging, relevant and consistent with AIMExpo vision and voice
• Oversees the development and building of opt-in e-database for all attendee types
• Work with show team to develop and implement online advance ticket sales including social deals and strategic partners
• Works with show team to help determine and implement the AIMExpo Tradeshow Marketing strategy and timeline related to exhibitor sales, trade, and consumer attendance using a mix of digital and traditional marketing
• Spearhead in-market consumer grassroots marketing programs with outreach to local clubs, dealerships and regional events
• Work with show team on all aspects of securing, working with and managing relations with outside vendors including: media buyers, PR agencies, graphic designers, printers, advertising production, web hosting etc.
• Working with the Senior Management to assist with copy development and oversee creative and production of all show advertising and general collateral maintaining a consistent look and feel. Ensure all communications speak the “voice of the brand”
• Manage all aspects of the website with input from show team and ensure content is current on website as it relates to show information, general content and exhibitor content
• Manages Social Media platforms to drive growth and engagement.
• Develop, maintain and show database, updating and deleting records as necessary
• Coordinate onsite activities and maximize marketing opportunities for current and future shows

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in marketing or event management preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in PR, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism or equivalent experience preferred
• Ability to be flexible and work under tight deadlines, and travel as needed
