GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Business Data Manager understands the relationship between data and manufacturing and shows strength in both IT and operations. The Sr. Manager acts as the primary architect and owner of the continually evolving comprehensive Data Governance structure. The Sr. Manager owns policies for data standards, data valuation and data management as well as the actual creation of data within the system. Ultimately the Sr. Manager is responsible for accurate, timely, and functional data in PLM and SAP for our mass-production environment.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Owns Data Governance structure.
Envisions, aligns the organization through deep collaboration, and leads data policy development.
Oversees accurate and timely data creation and management in PLM and SAP.
Ensures that Luxottica regional and global data standards are adhered to at all times
Ensures processes, and the compliance to them, meet all FDA and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
Manages continuous improvement roadmap for Master Data that supports cross-functional needs.
Collaborates with strategic business groups and IT to identify opportunities for business process improvement and assists in the implementation.
Manages a team consisting of Master Data Managers, Specialists, Coordinators, and Analysts.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Engineering, Business or equivalent combination of education and work experience
10+ years of business experience with data governance, data quality, data management, and/or information management
5+ years leading teams and/or managing others
3+ years working in a mass-production, manufacturing environment
SAP experience
Strong understanding of manufacturing environment and the direct relationship to Master Data
A strategic thinker and proven change agent
Proven decision making, influencing and leadership skills
Innovative and creative with strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize work, sense of urgency to meet deadlines
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and recognize the impact of change to the organization
Ability to manage and resolve conflict and gain consensus
Proven ability to effectively meet goals and complete tasks from start to finish
Strong PC skills in Excel, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint
