GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Analyst is accountable for the financial reporting, planning and budgeting for the sourcing department. Performs statistical and analytical studies; prepares and assists in the preparation of financial reports, business cases, and presentations/publications according to prescribed guidelines.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Develops budgets for the Sourcing Department.
Provides information and assists staff in budget preparation, implementation, and control.
Prepares, balances, compiles, and enters budget data.
Performs statistical analysis of budgets.
Monitors and evaluates budgets for appropriateness to ensure compliance.
Creates standard cost for direct and indirect materials.
Maintains communication with internal team regarding financial matters.
Provides information and technical support in the development and revision of financial reports.
Assists in the development and documentation of office systems and procedures.
Prepares financial reports and presentations as required by the Procurement Department.
Assists Sourcing Department in compiling data and interpreting financial data.
Maintains statistical reports and key performance indicators.
Assists with monitoring timelines and project plans to meet strict deadlines reviews and verifies statistical and financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Researches and analyzes financial and business process data for sourcing team.
Creates, organizes, and maintains files using database and spreadsheet programs
Retrieves and organizes data into required reporting formats.
Collects, retrieves and organizes data to identify cost savings/value improvement opportunities and resolve inquiries.
Recommends solutions ensuring that corrections or changes are implemented properly.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
5+ years of successful experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting, demonstrating progression in career
Knowledge of generally accepted financial/business analytic principles and procedures; standard software applications, principles and techniques of financial/business case preparation, project administration, statistical methods and technical writing
Interprets and explains complex data/analytics; make decisions on a variety of complex matters in accordance with established procedures.
Ability to set priorities and organize work to meet strict deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients
Strong computer skills (Excel and Access)


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Experience in purchasing or sourcing areas
Experience with SAP
