GENERAL FUNCTION

The Process Improvement Manager for New Product Introduction Operations is responsible for break-through, innovative, disruptive process improvement execution to create a World Class NPI Launch Process that is lean, mean and fast. The Process Improvement Manager coordinates and manages Production Readiness, Sale Samples Fulfillment and Launch Fulfillment processes and performance. The Manager uses lean improvement tools to develop sustainable, robust processes across multiple business functions. Additionally, the Process Improvement Manager develops and executes strategies to more effectively work with adjacent departments and facilities in order to improve the effectiveness of launch projects and other initiatives.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Collaborates with various departments and personnel including development, engineering, supply chain and manufacturing to drive process improvement and ensure on time delivery of launches.
Collaborates with buyers for production materials availability.
Collaborates with production planning for Sale Samples scheduling.
Collaborates with internal teams for system readiness (production system block removal).
Manages and supervises the processes and tools used to monitor, track and report production schedule and fulfilment of Sale Samples and Final Launch Quantities with the assistance of the NPI Analyst.
Communicates project status and NPI Launch fulfillment status to GTM and Product teams using regional and global tracking tools.
Drives Visual Management and Continuous Improvement to develop the most robust and lean Production Readiness processes.
Coordinates with the NPI Manager – Master Development Schedule to ensure alignment of the Production Readiness Processes and schedules with the overall Development Schedules.
Coaches and mentors on continuous improvement and leads teams, often times without direct reporting structures, to improve accountability and drive more robust processes.
Leads special projects related to critical launches, development lead time projects and other projects deemed to impact NPI.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, project management, new product development, engineering or market analytics
5+ years Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environment
Highly experienced in multiple, concurrent project and/or program management & scheduling
General knowledge and understanding of general product manufacturing
Excellent communication skills with ability to “influence”, interact and direct a diverse group of constituents to include senior management levels through line-level staff
Flexible and adaptive to changing priorities in a fast paced environment
Requires tact, judgment, and highly developed sense of responsibility
Advanced Skills with MS Project or similar schedule planning software
Experienced with MS Office suite including MS Excel
Familiarity with SAP and PLM software
Experience with Continuous Improvement Methods to improve processes
Ability to seek out, identify and collaborate to improve processes to reduce waste and inefficiencies and improve the effectiveness of teams
Ability to actively reduce dependence on duplication of efforts and rework


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS


Six Sigma and/or Lean Certification or training
Thrives on challenging the status quo and building motivated, creative teams
