GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sales Operations Manager is an Oakley/ESS brand and territory expert ensuring operational accountability for sales in their particular geographic region while managing the facilitation of sales and distribution in that area. The Sales Operations Manager serves Oakley/ESS International distributors/dealers and is directly responsible for developing and maintaining a cohesive presentation of the Oakley/ESS brands throughout our complex International distributor/dealer network.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


Manages a dynamic, cross-functional, fast-paced workload while supporting Regional Sales Managers, sales reps, and distributors at all levels.
Acts as the liaison between Oakley/ESS and International governments by providing technical documents and product specifications while understanding the limitations of selling certain products in specific territories.
Facilitates the contract process from conception to delivery while coordinating with International distribution partners.
Manages International partners ensuring they operate within the regulations of the Glocc Compliance Program and Luxottica’s Global policies.
Generates sales reports and analytics for key meetings, strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting.
Orders administration (when not processed abroad): account setup, purchase orders, product allocation, shipping quotes, tracking, payment monitoring, and customer service.
Seeks new brand distribution opportunities by coordinating meetings with International distributors and appropriate government stakeholders.
Determines alternative resources to distribution partners while remaining within compliance regulations and contractual obligations.
Coordinates with distribution partners to ensure that their focus is aligned with company objectives and finds alternative distribution partners if needs are not met.
Travels (25%) for International tradeshows, meetings, presentations, and market research (International and Domestic) to generate revenue and promote the brand.
Acts as the product expert in directing customers towards appropriate products based on technical specifications and requirements of particular countries and tenders.
Articulates why Oakley/ESS products meet military grade performance and their value proposition.
Engages in a strong partnership with internal product team to facilitate the manufacturing of new/existing products for International tenders to ensure products meet performance standards.
Develops product reviews, detailed specifications, sales tools and competitive analyses.
Ensures all specifications meet with military, government and International standards.
Manages promotional programs to meet pricing requirements of customers while adhering to business margins and guidance.
Interacts regularly with other Oakley departments: Sales, Advertising/Marketing, Design, Production, Operations, Finance/Accounting, Sales Analysis, Shipping and Distribution.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
5+ years related sales and operations experience
Understanding of military/government contracts and the contract procurement process
Excellent attention-to-detail, time management and organizational skills
Superior interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP)
Comfortable communicating with non-native English speakers
