The Global Sr Manager, Oakley Rx, will be responsible for driving global market leadership and revenue growth for all aspects of the ophthalmic product category. The category leader is responsible for providing strategic leadership to the global product, marketing and commercial teams to achieve corporate goals while maintaining a healthy organizational culture of highly motivated, talented and accountable team players.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Primarily responsible for line planning and merchandising the frame Rx product line including style and sku assortments, portfolio productivity, new release organization and communication.
Shared responsibility for managing Oakley Authentic Rx lens solution with global lens team
Work with matrix organization to deliver 3600 go-to-market tools for each release.
Responsible for the health of the category innovation and technology roadmap and the delivery of these products to market as determined by the product drive calendar.
Partner with sales, product marketing, GTM, supply chain and manufacturing management to develop short and long term Rx business strategy, to include but not limited to goal setting, communication & negotiation of key business initiatives, as well as to determine global growth objectives with regional business partners.
Interface with global regional team, internal sales leaders and brand managers to drive sales.
Manage all aspects of product life-cycle including discontinuation, end of line channels and inventory DSI and maintain competitive intelligence.
Assist in the development and implementation of the strategic plans.
Analyze product and market trends to identify opportunities, market trends and customer needs.
Responsible for category financial performance and talent management.
Accountability for Oakley brand KPI’s including profitability, annual operating budgets and regional business alignment together with shared Luxottica goals and objectives.
Support PLM in analysis of the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
Bachelor degree in Business or Marketing preferred.
8+ years’ experience with consumer products, proficiency managing complex businesses on a global scale
+3 years of optical channel experience is mandatory
Proven strategic agility – can create competitive and breakthrough strategies and plans
Demonstrated strategic thinking, strong quantitative analysis skills and a passion for data-driven decisions. Capability to balance brand, growth and profitability
Self-starter with an entrepreneurial perspective on business and a proven ability to drive a product line through a strong growth stage
Exceptional strength in program management, execution, and on-time delivery
Effective communicator and presenter with strong leadership skills and experience communicating complex information to multiple individuals/audiences, both in writing and verbally. Ability to engage effectively with regional leaders, global marketing, design, manufacturing, and business leaders
Ability to develop healthy working relationships quickly, build consensus and influence across the organization
Strong cultural awareness and affinity for the Oakley brand. Capable of serving as a role-model and teacher of internal brand values
Ability to travel domestically and internationally (30%)
