The Maintenance Team Lead directs the Tech Support Technicians covering all areas of Oakley Manufacturing. Trains and provides work direction and guidance while performing work in one or more of the skilled trades. Provides technical support in maintaining Oakley's manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoots equipment during trouble calls, performs assigned preventive maintenance tasks and develops root cause analysis problem solving with Tech Support Manager.


Serves as the primary leader for the Tech Support team.
Dispatches technicians to trouble calls and logs data.
Interacts with all department technicians and supervisors to ensure maintenance trouble calls are being completed timely.
Escalates major downtime outages to Tech Support Manager.
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing and test equipment.
Develops engineering solutions to improve quality of product, increases up time and prevents similar failure modes.
Researches new equipment; develops PM plans and spares inventory.
Initiates, coordinates and executes projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, delivery and cost.
Documents all repairs and works on a daily basis, understands and utilizes the information collected to identify areas for improvement.
Performs project management, equipment installation, development of documentation, and maintenance programs.
Works safely and maintains a safe, organized and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as needed.


A.A. or equivalent experience
5+ years related experience in a manufacturing environment
Qualified electrically to 480 VAC
High degree of electro-mechanical skill
Familiar with fluid power and pneumatics
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
Understanding of maintenance techniques
Motivated, self-starter, analytical skills, interpersonal communication skills
Willingness to learn new technologies
Good understanding of computers
Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
Initiative and proactive behavior in work environment
Team Player; able to interface with contractors and other Oakley departments
Ability to work more than 8-hours a day, weekends and holidays as needed


Fabrication skills, vacuum coating experience, welding, and machining
Robotic experience
Injection molding experience
SAP or other CMMS experience
