About the job
This individual will assist in the development aspect of Research & Development of products.
This position will entail assisting the R&D Manager with development of eyewear and accessories with a strong focus on quality control & product improvements.
The ideal candidate will have a background and/or education in fashion, marketing, product development or merchandising and have an active interest in the action sports / motorcycle and outdoor industries.
Main Responsibilities
o Assist Product Development Manager with Quality Control and development of products with a strong focus on quality improvements
o Active Member of Product Development Committee with key role
Data Entry
o Enter new product into spreadsheets
o Maintain product information in databases
o Update product ETAs and sample information
Assist Product Development Manager with communications on new products, tech packs, packaging etc.
Quality Control
o Conduct QC in a timely manner with 100% accuracy and high attention to detail
o File and sample storage and archival
o Maintain vendor issue log (and track Corrective Action Reports)
o Work with vendors on consistency and accuracy of designs
Communicate with vendors
o Ability to type quickly and write professional emails
Communicate with Warehouse on
o Incoming shipments
o Product changes
o Defective process/QC
Miscellaneous
o Assist with maintenance of product show room with correct and complete product line
o Assist with warranty log
o Communicate with sales and other departments on incoming shipments, ETAs, product changes and etc.
o Complete Master Item Spreadsheet for Seasonal Products
Additional tasks may be required.
Must be able to travel occasionally.
