Diamond Brand Outdoors is a local outdoor retailer in Asheville that has operated since 1964. We operate Diamond Brand Outdoors (two locations) and Frugal Backpacker (one location). Frugal Backpacker primarily carries samples, close outs, and overstock items in its 4,000 square feet of retail space.
Responsibilities:
• Drive store sales that result in profitability
• Develop a team that loves to sell and are committed to engaging customers
• Coach and role model selling and customer service
• Represent the vision of the Frugal Backpacker's active outdoor lifestyle
• Oversee all aspects of and train staff in visual merchandising
• Set clear performance expectations, provide direct feedback, and hold team accountable for individual results and behaviors
• Provide positive recognition to team that reinforces positive results and behaviors
• Analyze your business regularly to make decisions in red tagging product for turn, evaluate selling cost to meet budget, and have an strong understanding of flow of goods
• Lead a positive and fun environment
• Help plan and execute in-store events including promotions, workshops/clinics, and demonstrations
• Other duties as assigned
