Job Description

Thule is looking to add a Soft Goods Project Manager to its team in Longmont, CO (Boulder area).

The Project Manager – Soft Goods position leads new Bags projects through direct and collaborative work across the Product Management, Product Development and Design departments to successfully deliver projects on time. The Project Manager leads the planning, implementation, and tracking of new product launches from conception to completion with specified deliverables. This position requires strong organizational skills and ability to work on many tasks in parallel. The Project Manager is responsible for: the project schedule, coordination of multiple functions, and working with Project Teams to deliver the successful completion of new products within our packs, bags & luggage categories and ensures tasks are completed within budget and timelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Facilitates weekly Project Team meetings; identifying, managing and resolving issues affecting project implementation; develops and performs risk analysis to factors affecting success of product launches, creates alternative timelines, and “if, then” scenarios.
2. Assist in setting project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring project feasibility.
3. Develops and coordinates project plans including work breakdown structures; performs resource planning and utilization, critical path and approach, follow up and follow through, anticipate and adjust timelines as project unfolds
4. Build and maintain MS Project timeline for each assigned project including variance to plan, causes and effects
5. Project evaluations and assessment of results
6. Develop Ad Hoc reports as requested
7. Other activities as assigned

Job Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum of 5 years professional project management in soft goods environment experience required during which at least 2 years are spent leading and directing large project tasks.
2. Experience in cut & sew field related to bags, luggage or apparel
3. Bachelor’s degree in related field
4. Proficient in Microsoft Project Management or equivalent
5. Well versed in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills
7. Detail oriented – but well balanced with strategic abilities
8. Proven track record of problem solving and strong analytical thinking
