YOUR MISSIONThe Footwear Designer 2 Color & Materials, will work closely with Head of Design & PLM Team reporting into the Lead Designer, to create unique new footwear color and material design considerations that address consumer, retailer, and company needs on a seasonal timeline.
You will use the influences of sport, fashion and lifestyle to bring unique products to market.
Define and implement for the Running/Training Footwear Design Team with Creative Directors and Product Management Teams critical execution of the seasonal Color and Material Approach as a key stakeholder.
In addition to supporting in-line you will provide additional focus to the needs of footwear key regions/accounts.
Partner with Lead Designer to prepare seasonal material toolbox and material packs.
Support the Design team with PISA (Creative Share/Sample room) tasks, to ensure all digital files
and sketches are current.
Responsible for the timely and accurate completion of CADS, and material tech packages based
on design time and action calendar.
Conduct research on industry, consumer trends, competitive activities, and market intelligence.
YOUR TALENTBachelors Degree in Product Design, Fashion Design, or related field.
3+ years experience
Highly detail oriented accuracy is critical.
Advanced skill level in Illustrator.
Aptitude and proficiency with graphics and prints very desirable.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Flexible team player with solid organizational skills.
Knowledge of footwear market, color and trends.
Understanding of sports inspired product is a plus.
Ability to effectively use Lotus Notes and Microsoft Office applications.
