About the job
YOUR MISSION
Working closely with the Design Team of SportStyle Footwear you will provide support by addressing the lifestyle consumer, retailer, and company needs by:
- Assisting with executing against seasonal design briefs.
- Creating color, material and technical design packages aimed to communicate with external, internal, and manufacturing partners.
- Executing edits and revisions to fit development needs.
- Storytelling based on trend and market research.
- Aligning team vision through presentation building for internal and external use.
- Exploring new concepts/stories through sketching and rendering.
- Working independently within a set project scope.
- Showing effective time management.
- Adhering to corporate policies and procedures.
- Acquiring and sharing knowledge and skills.
- Understanding design quality and project efficiency.
- Becoming familiar with footwear manufacturing materials and processes.
- Possessing proper computer skills (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Demonstrating a high level of understanding in consumer trends, retail/market/product line dynamics and how the products you design affect those environments.
- Showing self-motivation, maturity, drive and the desire to learn and grow professionally.
YOUR TALENT
- You have a 4-year College/University degree in Industrial Design or related field.
- You can work a minimum of 4 Days and/or 24-32 hours per week
- You have strong drawing, rendering and presentation skills.
- You have refined design conceptualization and communication skills.
- You are competent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint.
- Duration/Commitment of Internship beginning, September 9thuntil December 13th.
- You have a passion for storytelling through color, graphics, materials and construction.
- You have a basic level of form, color and material understanding.
- You are a good communicator through presentation and sketching.
- You have a strong grasp of graphic usage.
- You are detail oriented, organized and able to manage multiple projects at one time.
- You have a passion for PUMA and what it stands for #ForeverFaster
- Your knowledge of Keyshot, MODO and/or Rhino is a plus, but not required.
