YOUR MISSION We are currently looking for a Field Visual Merchandiser (PUMA C.A.T.S) to join our PUMA North America Visual Experience team and support the visual merchandising function at both retail and wholesale locations in Chicago, IL.
Contribute to achieving or exceeding sales volume goals by promoting visual merchandising (VM) excellence in assigned store locations. Execute this VM strategy through understanding of PUMA brand guidelines, VM direction, and thoughtful visual merchandising. Solve merchandising opportunities based on architecture, inventory, sell-down and individual store unique floorplan. Make adjustments needed to maintain strategies, and create inspiring presentations.
Maintain and present visual presentations in a compelling and exciting manner in accordance with PUMA VM guidelines. Oversee and maintain daily standards of all mannequins, bust-forms, and displays. Focusing on head-to-toe merchandising, outfitting, accessorizing, newness and trend, to promote and build the sale. Have a strong understanding of trend and style that is reflective through merchandising. Utilize merchandising best practices to maximize space and inventory variability.
Support the evolving PUMA VM strategy by closely partnering with the Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising to communicate specific retailer and market needs and development of action plans.
Ensure the stocking and filling of all product according to the PUMA VM guidelines and retailer assortment plan.
Receive all PUMA visual graphic and POP updates on a regular basis and coordinate execution in store by the given date.
Communicate post-visit store updates through PUMA provided mobile phone and app, including before and after photos and any supporting documentation.
Maintain VM sign library and storage/maintenance of mannequins, fixtures, and props
(where applicable).
Partner with each retailer to develop a door visit schedule based upon product flow and store needs.
Manage floor moves by creating a floorplan for each retailer (based upon assortment and VM guidelines)
Manage setup of all new launch event assets (graphics, POP, etc) by the specified in-store activation date.
Manage RTV calendar with retailer to ensure consistent and current product flow.
Lead ongoing PUMA brand and specific product launch training sessions for retailer sales teams.
Secure premium real estate for PUMA brand by negotiation of space and fixture plans as needed.
Adheres to all PUMA policies and safety procedures as directed by PUMA and any retailer directives.
Manage best-in-class execution and breakdown of all market specific PUMA sponsored events, mono- and multi-brand related events in order to maximize PUMAs visual impression according to all brand guidelines and expectations.
Identify possible business opportunities regularly, preparing a quarterly recap of regional business trends and needs and submitting to the Senior Manager, Visual Merchandising for review.
Work cross-functionally with critical business partners including PUMA NA Visual Experience team, Marketing, and Retail/Wholesale sales teams.
Comfortably and effectively communicate across all levels of the business in order to support in the evolution of the PUMA consumer experience at store level.
Ensure PUMA brand excellence with expert detail orientation and multi-tasking abilities in all areas of work.
Any other ad-hoc projects as requested or assigned.


YOUR TALENT 3+ years of experience in retail, preferably with a sport or luxury fashion and accessories brand.
Previous work experience as a visual merchandiser at (or supporting) an apparel, accessory or footwear company.
Expert level skills in cross-functional communication, project management, and problem solving.
Strength in directly managing relationships with a range of retail partners and sales teams.
Strength in training and presenting to a targeted audience of sales partners.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel domestically 5% of the time (sometimes including nights and weekends) to corporate training and sales meetings/tradeshow events outside of regular in-market travel.
Proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and working through ambiguity.
Proven cross-functional communication skills and seen as a team player.
Ability to travel to retailer locations by personal auto or public transportation on a regular basis (mileage reimbursement included if necessary).
Ability to bend, lift (up to 35lbs), and stand for extended periods of time.
