Job Description

Spiritual Gangster is a lifestyle yoga brand that dedicates the creation of its product to purpose and function in the active lifestyle markets. Our rapidly growing company is seeking an associate designer to support the Men's head designer in the creation of the seasonal men's collection, including printable tees, fashion knits, custom fleece, woven tops and bottoms, active wear and accessories.

We are seeking an individual who will work well in a fast-paced environment, has a positive attitude, is quality driven and pays close attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate well with all departments, including Merchandising, Product Development, Tech design, Sales, Marketing and Sourcing, on collaborating efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for contributing to big ideas for all men's and kid's categories at the start of the season
• Responsible for the creation of a portion of the men's or kid's line from inception to final production, including sketching, presenting, technical development, comments and fitting till approval
• Responsible for creating and maintaining updates toward an accurate visual line plan overview for men's and kids and distributing them to cross functional departments. (Including procuring style numbers, accurate cad representation, accurate fabrication and color)
• Responsible for organization of trims and trim codes
• Responsible for the maintenance of the men's and kids design wall ( including cads per delivery, fabric/fabric approvals, print/strikeoffs)

• Responsible for the creation of accurate and technically sound block pages and communication with tech design
• must be proficient in creating complete tech packs in illustrator including technical drawings and call outs, art work call outs and sizing
• Proficiency in Lectra PLM is a plus --
• Maintenance of all styles, techpacks and BOMs on PLM
• Responsible for accurate Tech pack preparation for vendor handovers
• Involvement in men’s and kids processes including: fittings, reviewing strike-offs, comments to sourcing, vendor follow-up, and handovers.
• Communicate clear ideas and stay on top of who your customer is via research & shopping.

Job Requirements

•Degree in Design required.
•1 or more years of experience working for an Apparel manufacturer in a similar role.
•Able to multi-task and prioritize workload.
•Must be a team player that takes direction.
•Proficient on a Mac platform specifically with Illustrator and Photoshop.
•Proven communication skills both written and verbal.
•Knowledge of PLM a plus, but not required
