686 Technical Apparel is searching for a Product Line Manager.

The Product Line Manager will manage project requirements, scope and timelines, all while providing direction and guidance to all members of a given project to ensure it is delivered on time. This positions core responsibility is to ensure the proper operations is meet.

Activities associated with this position include operations, execution of sales initiatives, competitor/ market knowledge, merchandise planning, development and production coordination, oversight of an independent sales team and sales support. The Project Manager is expected to utilize resources within the company and provide the needed expertise to manage product life cycles. The Product/Project Manager is expected to guide the team in development of product lineups as the liaison between design, production, operations, and sales.

Job Duties:

• Manage the design/development calendar and ensure projects are delivered on time.
• Creating long – and short team plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlines
• Delegating tasks on the project to team members
• Adjusting schedules and targets on the projects as needed or financing for the project change
• Works closely with Production on the predetermined product calendar to drive timely approvals & deliver product on time
• Work closely with internal departments such as sales, marketing, operations and product development as well as external resources to bring the Brand’s strategy to life.
• Manage comprehensive product development milestones to ensure on time delivery and quality go-to-market execution.
• Manage the line list for all products to ensure data is correct for go to market IE colors, costing, retail prices ext..
• Execute with Marketing and sales seasonal forecasting and providing direction to Supply Chain for inventory management/ and PO placement.
• Liaison with licensor to ensure contractual obligations and approvals are met.
• Collaborate with Sales manager to develop sales programs and initiatives/promotions to deliver targeted sales and profit goals.
• Communicate seasonal product launches and/or product changes to the appropriate members of the organization.
• Regularly assess the Brand’s market position and make necessary adjustments and recommendations to improve the Brands’ market position.
• Identifies opportunities to improve the development process and makes suggestions to designer and director of product to continuously improve season after season

Qualifications:

• BA or BFA in Project Management preferred and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Apparel Industry, Action Sports, preferably within the Snow/Ski Categories
• Basic CAD programs like Adobe Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop a must
• Intermediate office program skills like Excel, Word, and Outlook Full Circle experience is a plus
• Ability to manage both creative and administrative tasks
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects at various stages simultaneously
• Job will require hours that exceed 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week, especially when working on rush/special projects. Pressure will exist when facing deadlines
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time while operating a computer and lift up to 20 pounds
• Ability to prove Identification and Eligibility to work in the United States
• Intermediate typing skills
• Open to travel for research and development
• Ability to adjust to changing Time & Speed to Market calendar
• Ability to adjust to changing business needs
