Job Description

Agit Global / Wavestorm is in search of a Logistics / Warehouse Manager to join the team in Irvine, CA.

Position Summary //
Direct, manage and coordinate logistics, warehouse and transportation activities. Lead and direct strategic planning for the logistics and warehouse department.

Primary Responsibilities //
• Responsible for overseeing the inventory management process, defining departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminating obsolete and off-spec material, and reduce aging material.
• Develop and establish strong controls and processes to ensure consistent and accurate perpetual inventory systems in a multiple warehouse environment.
• Develop and maintain transportation systems for domestic and international freight that ensures business needs are met.
• Work on reducing freight costs for each of AGIT Global’s different business segments.
• Create, manage and achieve the overall logistics department budget.
• Ensure company is in compliance with laws and regulations regarding transportation, including hazardous materials.
• Work with sales and marketing teams to execute product sample shipments including packing, shipping and delivery follow up.
• Assist in resolving any legal issues pertaining to transportation/distribution.
• Maintain receiving, warehousing and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating and enforcing operational programs and personnel policies and procedures.
• Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.
• Oversee the planned maintenance of warehouse vehicles.
• Participate in personnel development at all levels through talent acquisition, performance management, providing opportunity for high performers, education, communication, expectation setting, and self actualization.
• Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates.

Job Requirements

Required Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities //
• Proficient in standard business office software (Google business suite, SKYPE, MS Office, etc.)
• Experienced with QuickBooks Enterprise is a plus
• Proficient with warehouse management systems utilizing barcoding, bin locations, multiple sites, etc.
• Working knowledge of UPS Worldship, FedEx and DHL online systems and Commerce Hub
• Past experience implementing EDI systems
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Fluency in written and verbal English (Spanish and/or Mandarin is a plus)
• Proven ability to think independently and handle multiple projects through to completion
• Record of successfully collaborating with and influencing senior management and peers
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage staff
• Demonstrated independent work initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability and professional demeanor
• Able to make effective presentations to diverse groups
• Able to perform financial calculations and create and manage budgets

Education and Experience //
• Degree in Business or Transportation/Logistics Management
• 5+ years in the logistics environment
• Extensive experience with shipping to “big box” and major retailers (Costco, Sam’s Club, Wal-Mart, Target, BJ’s, etc)
