About the job

As the Get Back Social Media Manager, you’ll be at the forefront of our online marketing, which is a role we take seriously. We’re looking for someone who believes in building relationships with our online community and goes above and has what it takes to turn fans into customers, and customers into advocates.

The perfect candidate- We need someone who is motivated, organized, charismatic, creative, and eager to grow alongside our company. The perfect candidate has a passion for social media, a knack for influencing others, and curiosity.

Requirements: Previous related experience, copy-writing skills, transportation to and from work, 9-5 availability M-F.

Plus: Familiar with the surf/skate industry, photography skills, active on Instagram, knowledge of Adobe Lightroom + Photoshop or Illustrator, comfortability being on-camera/public speaking.

Compensation: $15/hr + annual bonuses. Full-time.

Ongoing Tasks
-Create and adapt social media strategy (conversion, content, engagement, promotion)
-Utilize various programs to plan and organize assets across all digital channels
-Leverage our customer relationship management platform (Insightly) to keep track of connections
-Constantly source new collaboration opportunities
-Communicate with influencers, bloggers, athletes, and other brands to orchestrate campaigns, giveaways, sponsorships, articles, etc.
-Create and maintain social media content calendar and posting schedule
-Curate social feeds
-Communicate with Creative Director on briefing freelancers (photographers, videographers, designers) for content needed
-Work with Creative Director and Brand Owner to create budgets for your social activities
-Monitor social trends and implement into marketing efforts and content creation
-Meet monthly outreach goals (influencer packages, athlete relations, etc)
-Participate in local events
-Work with Sales Manager to gather content for retailers to use in digital marketing efforts
-Report key social metrics and ROI in a monthly reporting deck
-Create, curate, and manage all published and unpublished content (videos, images, written assets, future audio/podcast assets)
-Engage in relevant conversations with other accounts and with our followers while always cultivating leads and sales
-Write and source engaging blog content
-Find best performing content and create video versions of it
-Work with other branches of marketing to integrate social media with all marketing efforts
-Seed content where it has the best chance to spread (eg. not only our social platforms)
