This Logistics team member will lead Inbound Logistics and Trade Compliance for all of YETI. You will coordinate with overseas vendors to manage import activities to meet service level expectations.  You will help support YETI’s already established fulfillment operations in the US, Canada, and Australia, as well as support operations in any new markets YETI enters.  This role will work closely with YETI’s freight providers (international and domestic) and internal teams to maintain a reliable and scalable inbound logistics operation that functions on a global scale. With an understanding of international transportation and trade compliance, you will make sure that YETI can provide a predictable delivery experience for inbound shipments.  This role will also serve as the trade compliance subject matter expert, providing support related to import activities ensuring YETI’s compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and best practices.

Responsibilities:
Apply strategic and tactical leadership to YETI’s international logistics and trade compliance; Implement operational strategies in support of key sourcing and supply chain initiatives.
Serve as YETI’s subject matter expert resource around inbound logistics, trade compliance, and HTS classification for internal cross-functional partners.
Ensure quality shipment data from origin to end-delivery; effectively use shipment data for managing exceptions.
Develop and manage KPI metrics with customs brokers and freight forwarders; manage vendor performance and set priorities to meet the needs of the distribution network and scalability.
Manage expense to budget and forecast.
Participate in and support business reviews on a quarterly basis with service providers; drive corrective actions, if necessary, based on performance.
Leverage past experiences in lean / six sigma, industrial engineering or continual improvement methodologies to drive and interpret performance improvements.
Implement a global trade compliance program to drive compliance, including conducting training when needed.
Establish and manage YETI Import requirements including proper documentation control, documentation capture and archival, and communication documentation to ensure 100% auditable compliance for the US, CA, AU, and other regions as necessary.
Support supply chain security initiatives such as Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or another related field preferred
6+ years of experience in International Logistics and Trade Compliance; at least one year of supervisory experience
Experience with durable goods at a retail company
Customs Broker’s License
Demonstrated knowledge of global trade rules and regulations
Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system preferred
A proven track record in developing new processes and bringing about change and improvement without major disruption to the business
Strong people management and supervisory skills
Strong analytical skills with high proficiency in Excel; ability to tell a compelling story through data
Process driven with the ability to plan, be strategic, and execute operationally on a regular basis
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to distill large amounts of information into concise summaries
Creative thinking skills, willingness to share opinion, and challenge the status quo
