Summary:
The Director of Marketing Operations is an experienced marketing executive who has generated significant impact through strategic and tactical directions.
The Director will understand YETI brand strategies and business objectives, create clear plans for meeting and exceeding objectives, execute on various tasks by delivering accurately, on time and on budget, and will work across marketing, fund management, compliance, and digital experience, and marketing operations domains. They are responsible for the planning, budgeting and managing of marketing and communications strategies and tactics that creatively and effectively promote the YETI product portfolio.
This position will report directly to the CMO and will manage a team comprised of project managers, planners, business affairs, as well as, own the marketing calendar for the department.
Position Responsibilities
Planning and delivery of all collateral and communication.
Own and produce assigned work from intake through delivery, including resource planning & management, assembling & leading a project team, time & budget, quality control, issues & risk management, monitoring progress, and reporting & documentation.
Independently manage a queue of projects, processes and tasks, and partner with client relations/sales leadership to prioritize and deliver against the queue via successful initiation, planning, design, execution, and closure of projects.
Work with multiple internal stakeholders including but not limited to corporate marketing, finance, innovation and others to coordinate projects, develop messaging and produce marketing materials for various communications and events.
Utilize best practices to own or assist with project management, marketing team planning, reporting, operations, budget, and contracts.
Communicate clearly and often in a timely, organized, user-friendly manner
Contribute ideas and insights to elevate the YETI brand and achieve business objectives
Communicate regularly with senior leadership on task status, delivery schedules, open issues, risks and solution plans
Work with planning and execution to enhance the visibility and awareness of the YETI brand.
Ensure that all marketing and communication processes are continuously evaluated for proper operation, relevance, efficiency and utilization.
Interact regularly with the Senior Leadership Team and individual department heads to ensure that the company’s marketing and communications priorities are aligned with total company direction.
Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to the CMO for consideration.
Lead, manage and develop your team to deliver expected marketing strategies and goals.
Manage cohesive working relationship with all other personnel and stakeholders to ensure unified and effective promotional efforts.
Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree required with a graduate degree preferred in marketing, communications, or related field.
Minimum of 10+ years experience in relevant marketing operations roles.
Minimum of 6+ years of supervisory/managerial experience preferred.
Experience working within a high growth, globally focused business.
Experience in a strategic-management role, partnering with executive staff, resulting in the development and implementation of creative marketing and communications management strategies preferred.
Experience with consumer-focused direct marketing preferred.
Sufficient project management skills to manage contractors, budget, and timelines to ensure delivery of top quality creative output within established timeframes.
