Supply Chain Operations Specialist

The Supply Chain Operations Specialist will be responsible for driving operational excellence in the factories of YETI’s strategic suppliers in the Philippines. This includes both the identification and implementation of improvement initiatives at existing factories as well as efforts to optimize capacity expansions and new factory start-ups. Success as a Supply Chain Operations Specialist will require cross-functional collaboration with many functions including Procurement, New Product Introduction, Product Innovation, Quality, Planning, etc. The role will be based in Clark, Philippines and he/she will spend 50% of work days, on average, on-site at supplier factories located throughout the Philippines and Southeast Asia. This is a crucial role for YETI because the Supply Chain Operations Specialist will often be the most consistent YETI presence at supplier facilities. This role will have an unmatched opportunity to establish YETI influence with suppliers and will also be responsible for enforcing YETI anonymity and confidentiality where appropriate.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Drive continuous process improvement at supplier factories
Lead initiatives to improve pass-through rates
Optimize factory start-up and capacity expansions
For new products, develop a supplier launch plan and project schedule that aligns with the category speed to market objectives
Communicate technical requirements to suppliers
Implement, monitor, and report on supplier quality and productivity improvement initiatives
Prepare and present supplier performance results to management
Enforce confidentiality and anonymity for YETI intellectual property, product design process, etc.
Support and increase the speed of product development iteration on-site
Assist with supplier relationship ongoing management
QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or related field
Up to 2 years of relevant experience in operations, manufacturing procurement, supply chain or related field
Team player with demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals at various organizational levels internally and externally
Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal formats
Ability to work within a highly dynamic organization
Ability to influence without authority
