 YETI is actively seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee all aspects of our new retail store located in the Las Olas area in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This role will help oversee all aspects, from hiring and training staff, to assisting with forecasting and managing inventory, to maintaining an extraordinary level of visual merchandising and driving a culture that delivers an exceptional authentic customer experience. We are looking for an outgoing leader, that takes initiative and runs with projects with varying levels of direction. The Assistant Store Manager will have a customer service-oriented mindset and thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing entrepreneurial environments.  

 

 Additional Responsibilities:


Reports to Store Manager

Help manage people, store operations, events, and environment to achieve sales, marketing, customer satisfaction, and profitability goals and maintain operational standards

Support the Store Manager with recruitment, training and management of store staff

Drive the staff culture that delivers an inclusive, compelling and inspiring brand, event, and product experience

Drive exceptional execution of visual merchandising throughout the store

Responsible for forecasting inventory and operational supplies

Maintain inventory levels that will supply the demand and correlate with expected traffic patterns

Manage Stockroom levels and organization

Manage inbound receipt and tracking of inventory and all merchandising

Assist in managing Loss Prevention compliance

Execute all requirements concerning OSHA to maintain a safe and compliant working atmosphere for all Store Associates

Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; will require some weekends, evenings, and holidays

Assist with managing the store’s social media channels

Work with the Store Manager and Marketing on planning and executing YETI in-store marketing events and other retail traffic driving events.


 

Qualifications and Attributes:


Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred but not required

High school diploma required 

2+ years prior management experience including hiring, training, and managing staff in a fast-paced, high volume environment

Experience with various retail operations, such as budgeting, planning, customer service, and sales

Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and profit results

Commitment to learning and developing within the role

Exceptional interpersonal skills founded on an authentic ability to deliver strong customer service

Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to build, lead, and manage high performing teams

Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and retail software programs

Previous experience running in-store marketing events and is highly preferred


 

Physical Requirements:


Operate office equipment and technology (i.e., computers, phones, fax, copier, etc.)

Standing required for entire work shift

Bend, lift, open, and move product up to 50 pounds as needed

Travel (less than 10% of time)
