YETI is at a strategic inflection point in our supply chain.  We are being challenged to meet ever increasing quick delivery expectations, while at the same time aggressively expanding our product portfolio and our business internationally.  We are looking for a proven leader who can lead our Supply Planning and Purchasing functions and enable YETI to meet this increased complexity and challenge.   

The Senior Manager of Supply Planning and Purchasing will be responsible for developing and executing a strategy for YETI’s expanding global distribution network. This Individual will coach and lead the planning team towards actively managing optimal stock levels, developing and managing Inventory KPIs, and driving process improvements across the supply chain. This role will define the process that optimizes global inventory planning which balances customer service expectations with optimized inventory levels and profitability.  This role will also closely liaison with the Demand Planning, Procurement and Category teams to ensure that the buy plans are aligned with the demand to achieve maximum inventory effectiveness.  This position has a unique position of seeing the demand and supply value chain in its entirety, this individual will also own the SIOP process and  align closely with the functional leaders and executive team to address demand and/or supply risks, proactively address capacity or flow concerns, and make recommendations based on collaborative and fact-based data supported by root cause analysis  Also, this role will also partner with our logistics teams to optimize material flow from YETI suppliers through our multi-node network.

Responsibilities:

This role will have responsibilities in the following areas:

Strategic Development


Lead the development of an optimized SIOP process that incorporates YETI’s product expansion, systems development, distribution network development, and international expansion.

Identify the systems requirements necessary for YETI to optimally manage inventory, integrate forecasting, improve supplier management and shipping accuracy. 

Develop a process that integrates new product development into the SIOP forecasting and delivery process.

Develop a communication cadence and a set of metrics to understand how YETI is performing against inventory, delivery and forecasting targets.  Lead corrective action implementation in those areas where performance is not meeting expectations.

Establish a common data-set that aligns all functions on operational performance.


Inventory


Develop an inventory segmentation strategy that understands YETI’s product classification and sales & profitability balancing.

Develop a process to optimize inventory levels across sites globally.

Deploy a product allocation strategy throughout the company.



Create and align inventory plans with Finance, Sales and Supply Chain requirements.


Planning


Roll-up the global demand plan and manage the global buy including delivery to global locations.

Ensure planning process & tools reflect the most up to date capacity information for the next 12, 18, and 24 months.

When there is a shortfall, engage Advanced Sourcing to locate additional vendors if the needed capacity cannot be met by the current supply base.

Validate rough cut Capacity Planning Tools and identify projects that improve the overall process.


Purchasing


Develop supplier management expectations and cadence for supplier performance.

Deploy a standard set of supplier metrics that manage our supplier performance in an agile manner.

Build the Supply Plan, highlighting any gaps or excess production that needs to be adjusted within the SIOP process.



Lead supply review meetings within the SIOP process, providing an overview of capacity against demand, highlighting supply chain planning performance metrics and make recommendations on key challenges and decisions that need to be made to effectively run the business.


Requirements:


Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of planning/purchasing experience.

4+ years of managing planning and purchasing professionals.  

Significant working experience leading SIOP processes within global multi-node environments.

Demonstrated experience in global planning within the Consumer Goods Industry.

Demonstrated experience with capacity planning and process improvement.

Working experience with leading cross-functional teams within a global matrixed environment.

Working experience with SAP.

Strong project management and organizational skills with proven experience managing large-scale projects.

Ability to present and lead executive conversations with the Senior Leadership Team. 

Excellent troubleshooting skills with ability to drive solutions cross-functionally.

Individuals must possess a high attention to detail, be data-driven and fact-based.

Ability to rise above challenging situations and lead the team towards successful solutions while possessing maturity and grace.

Adept at holding people accountable to deadlines and process.

Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international).

Lean / Continuous Improvement experience is desired.
