Reporting to the CFO, the Head of Retail Operations will be responsible for guiding an integrated retail strategy, delivering a best-in-class YETI brand experience within a retail environment, delivering a retail expansion plan that includes market prioritization, and defining and measuring KPI’s for success.

 

Responsibilities:


Develop and articulate Yeti’s retail strategy across all levels of the organization

Partner with cross functional leaders to develop store expansion roadmap 

Build and deliver a retail program that ensures operational excellence across all stores

Lead store teams in creating and delivering local community engagement both in-store and via social channels

Ensure exceptional product knowledge and sustainable, high service standards 

Ensure stores achieve monthly profitability goals

Monitor sales performance, retail KPIs, non-selling activities, team structures and identify solutions to drive business performance

Review and analyze monthly operational and overhead expenses to strategize areas to improve efficiency and reduce costs

Identify innovative action plans with store leadership and teams to minimize operating costs and operational risks

Identify and coach team members on how to drive an efficient and profitable business (front and back of the house)

Ensure we have successful on-boarding and training programs for the retail channel

Streamline operational logistics and procedures creating seamless and integrated processes focused on an elevated customer experience, store ease-of-use, omni-channel approach and consistency to brand standards

Draft and distribute operational communications to retail and across the organization

Support, as a key stakeholder, all Inventory Control, Internal Control and Asset Protection initiatives

Oversee inventory processes to reduce shrinkage, including quarterly cycle counts & annual physical inventory

Partner with eCommerce, Wholesale Operations and IT teams to ensure a consistent and elevated omni-channel approach on all processes and procedures

Partner with store construction and retail project management on new store openings and expansions


Qualifications and Attributes:


Bachelor’s Degree with at least 10 years of retail experience

Prior experience expanding digital brands into physical retail expansion

Ability to develop and articulate a retail strategy while having a strong grasp on the details of the business at the store level

Luxury retail experience preferred

At least 5 years of leadership experience managing teams within a geographically dispersed retail environment

Established experience setting and meeting retail KPI’s, driving operational excellence and sales performance

Working experience with real estate sourcing, store design, construction, and development

Strong analytical skills with the ability to establish and report on metrics

Ability to present at an executive level

An inquisitive mind – not satisfied with the status quo

Strong written communication skills

Experience with operations management within a distributed store environment

Project management skills

Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to foster team selling approach

Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Experience with international store expansion preferred but not required
