The Director of Logistics will be a critical member of the Global Supply Chain and Operations Team who will be responsible for managing global fulfillment, inventory control, transportation, and our global 3PL environment.? This role will report to the VP of Global Supply Chain and Operations and will lead a team of managers and senior individual contributors across all logistics and fulfillment functions.
Responsibilities:
Leads a team of managers and senior individual contributors for all logistics and fulfillment functions
Owns performance management, talent management and succession planning for the organization
Works with internal and external partners to ensure proper accounting on inventory
Ensures KPI’s are met around systems data and global inventory accuracy
Further refines and develops strategies related to inventory control
Manages the physical movement of inbound inventory and customer orders throughout our process & supply chain
Manages import/export logistics, including customs documentation and resolving any customs holds.
Leads daily supplier communications as well as supplier quarterly business reviews
Creates and maintains SOP’s for all fulfillment, inventory control and logistics processes
Additional Responsibilities:
Fulfillment and 3PL Vendor Management
Develops holistic vision, strategy and fulfillment best practices for YETI’s growing international, omni-channel, multi-node network
Designs, implements and manages a globally scalable solution to keep pace with YETI’s growth plan
Accountable for executing day-to-day operations and managing delivery SLAs and KPIs
Manages and develops logistics, warehousing and distribution suppliers
Evaluates the performance for all aspects of logistics operations and drives continuous improvement plans
Collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure that all relevant requirements of delivery, cost and quality are met to support operations
Inventory Control
Oversees all Cycle Count and PI functions
Works with Internal and External partners to ensure proper accounting on inventory
Responsible for Global Inventory Accuracy KPIs as well as individual site KPIs
Develops strategy related to Inventory Control
Transportation
Manages all third-party transportation relationships (and related contracts) that support our growing supply chain network
Establishes and maintains an inbound routing guide and captures all variances that occur
Negotiates and maintains agreements with freight, brokering and forwarding to minimize risk while optimizing cost
Measures third party carrier performance and works with purchasing to drive improvement
Develops and manages an outbound tracking system to share with sales and the customer to improve the customer experience
Develops and communicates inbound tracking and forecasting system for all items
Delivers on-time shipping & delivery to YETI customers
Manages the corrective action process to address any service disruptions caused by logistics vendors
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related Field, master’s degree is desirable
10+ years in Logistics and Fulfillment roles and 6 years of leading mid-sized teams
Inspirational leadership style with ability to focus on team development, coaching, performance management and succession planning
Possesses an executive presence and demonstrates the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
Experience with international, omni-channel, multi-node supply chains
Vendor sourcing & relationship management
5+ years-experience with International freight forwarding or brokerage, large volume parcel distribution, LTL accessorial management and RFP & routing guide development and execution
Ability to diagnose opportunity areas and implement measurement techniques to drive KPIs
Systems driven with a track record for establishing scalable process in an international omni-channel environment
Strong business acumen and negotiation skills
Comfortable with providing executive summaries and disseminating information across all levels of the organization
Strategic thinker who is also hands-on and knows the details of their business
Strong problem-solving skills
Data driven with a high attention to detail
30% travel as required and may fluctuated based in needs of the business
