The Senior Security Engineer is responsible for implementing solutions to safeguard YETI’s systems and assets against modern-day threats. You will work closely with the Security Manager and engage with IT Ops and key members across business units to develop creative security solutions for a rapidly growing business. You deftly balance your passion for “securing all the things” with the needs of a business that’s truly BUILT FOR THE WILD™.



Responsibilities:


Proactively identify gaps in current security posture and develop solutions

Hands-on approach to investigate, respond, and track security incidents

Recommend security enhancements and purchases

Provided security oversight for departmental and corporate projects and strategic initiatives

Perform security reviews for new technologies and vendor risk assessments to enable the business to make informed decisions

Administer critical security systems including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, application white listing, and endpoint security solutions

Monitor networks and systems for anomalous activity

Collaborate with systems and network administrators to secure critical infrastructure

Create alerts and automations to quickly identify and respond to security issues

Support regulatory compliance efforts as needed

Lead vulnerability management efforts and work with IT Ops to enforce patching

Create and deliver user security awareness trainings and materials

Write supporting processes, procedures, and standards to support security initiatives

Develop and gather metrics to measure progress and report status to management

Other duties as assigned




Qualifications and Attributes:


Bachelor’s degree in IT, information security, or other related technical discipline is preferred

6+ years of Information Security experience assessing security vulnerabilities and risks and implementing solutions to protect dynamic environments

3+ years of experience with cloud security (preferably Azure)

Solid foundation of security concepts and industry best practices

Experience with “big picture” security, evaluating risks within the business as a whole

Experience aligning a security program with formal frameworks (ex. ISO 27001, NIST 800-53)

Experience with modern security technologies to protect on-premise and cloud environments

Excellent communication skills: confidently speaks on a topic in a meeting and writes clear documentation

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize initiatives in a highly dynamic environment

Comfortable interacting with a variety of personalities across the business

Relevant security certifications a plus: GIAC, CISSP, OSCP
