The Senior Manager of Supply Planning and Purchasing will be responsible for executing YETI’s strategy in operational excellence. This individual is pivotal in the corporate ERP initiative for the Supply Chain department as well as managing the planning team to meeting their KPIs and making us simpler to do business with. This role will also closely liaison with the Demand Planning, Procurement, Logistics, Category, and IT teams. This role has the unique position of seeing all the company interdependencies to have an effective supply chain. The role will also be a key contributor to the SIOP process and align closely with functional leaders to address demand and/or supply risks. This role is looking for a leader that can make recommendations based on collaborative and fact-based data and analysis.

We are looking for a proven leader who can lead our Supply Planning and Purchasing functions and enable YETI to meet this increased complexity and challenge.



Responsibilities:

This role will have responsibilities in the following areas:

Planning/Forecasting


Reviews and assesses risk on the inventory health of all assigned product groups

Assist in resolving the exceptions identified within the forecasts and inventory that are escalated

Assists Supply Planners and Sr. Supply Planners in resolving their exceptions and meeting their responsibilities

Provides direction on exceptions that need escalation or cross functional team assistance

Manages exceptions in procurement plan recommendations that fall outside of the normal business rules

Facilitates regular vendor meetings on shipment plans, capacity, and component availability

Contributes and participates in the executive SIOP meeting on health of product lines and launches

Sponsors, reviews and approves all system enhancements & continuous improvements identified by the planners

Drives improvements to allocation process in both accuracy and speed to better support channels

Drives improvements in system integration with SAP to improve netting and production planning logic


Analysis and Reporting


Reviews all data and material planners will use for weekly planning meetings

Develops and maintains dashboards to report on all assigned product groups


Communication


Facilitates weekly planning meetings with procurement that are unable to be facilitated by Sr. Planner

Coordinates cross functional escalations necessary to resolve issues or exceptions

Coordinates monthly Supply Review meetings with stakeholders and contributes/approves material

Interacts frequently with Sr. Business Leaders and key stakeholders

Drives necessary collaboration with Procurement, Operations, Sales, Finance and Categories

Escalates related forecasting issues that impact planning


Information Technology


Drive the system/process improvements for the SAP upgrade related to Supply Planning, Allocation, and Purchasing capabilities

Facilitate the correct protocols and documents the procedural changes from the SAP upgrade related to our business area

Champion system improvements thru the SAP upgrade that simplifies our supply chain business processes and eases the day to day burden of manual workarounds




Qualifications and Attributes:


Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, Math, Finance, or comparable field

8+ years’ experience in forecasting, supply planning, production planning, or similar Supply Chain role

4+ of leadership experience

Experience in multi-tier distribution network and global supply chain

Extensive data analysis skills using excel, and Access. SQL skills preferred.

Strong project management and organizational skills with proven experience managing large scale projects

Extensive SAP/IBP skills

Demonstrated strong analytical skills

Strong Attention to detail

Strong facilitation and meeting management skills

Ability to summarize and communicate data effectively

Ability to manage conflict

APICS certification preferred

Ability to travel up to 20% (domestic and international)

Lean / Continuous Improvement experience is desired
