YETI is searching for an individual to fill the role of Senior Finance Analyst supporting our Supply Chain/Operations organization in the areas of warehousing, transportation, and product customization. The role will be reporting to our Operations Senior Finance Manager and acting as a key business partner to YETI’s Director of Warehousing & Logistics and Customization team. The position will own the Financial Planning & Analysis activities for warehousing, transportation, and product customization segments ($200M in annual spend), plus drive initiatives and projects within the organization to better track, understand, & predict results.
This individual needs to be highly analytical with the ability to synthesize data and make sound business recommendations to management. They must be a collaborative problem-solver, who not only understands the numbers, but also the broader business context around them. To be successful, the person must be able to communicate effectively with both the finance teams as well as the supply chain teams.
Responsibilities:
Review weekly / monthly transportation and warehousing reports and ensure costs are recorded accurately and any variances vs. plan and vs. prior periods can be explained with operational drivers
Continue to develop/enhance financial models to forecast fulfillment costs, with segmentation by distribution centers and by distribution channel
Partner with 3rd Party Freight audit provider to adapt structure of GL coding of transportation spend to reportable segments
Prepare consolidated monthly inventory reports used throughout the finance, accounting, and operations organizations
Partner with operational owners to understand market dynamics and small parcel, truck load, and ocean containers transportation modes to enable to financially reflect and articulate impact of market changes in financial predictions and results
Prepare and present monthly financial results package for VP of Operations and VP of FP&A
Provide analysis of monthly financial & operational results including the interpretation of current month performance as a predictive tool for attainment of quarterly and full year performance expectations
Partner with the rest of the Corporate FP&A team to complete the annual budgeting process and monthly forecast process
Generate Quarterly Business Review, Board of Directors, and other management presentations
Own various ad hoc analysis and presentations as needed for senior management
Lead projects and initiatives focused on improving inventory reporting, outbound freight reporting by sales channel, segmentation of transportation vs. customs and duties spend for inbound transportation, and provide financial support for major distribution center transition in 2021
Qualifications and Attributes:
Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting with strong academic credentials
MBA considered valuable but not required
At least 4 years of finance experience, primarily in an FP&A/Operational Finance function
Experience with fast growing, global consumer goods companies
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
SAP experience a plus
Attention to detail
Self-starter and persistent with strong analytical and organizational skills
Able to identify problems and work cross functionally to identify and implement solutions to solve those problems
Is known for developing and delivering results on a timely basis
Able to work in an ambiguous, fast-growing team-first environment
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
