The Retail Stores Field Trainer will supervise the organization’s tracking, delivery and development of training, onboarding and educational programs for front-line retail stores employees and leadership team as well as manage the quality and content of the program. You have a passion for teaching and building a scalable training platform that will support a global service organization. You have a solid foundation in instructional and curriculum design, content management and strong ideas around what makes for a successful learning experience.
Responsibilities:
Coach employees through their onboarding and learning process, creating a positive and empowering learning environment, scheduling training sessions, and ensuring employees receive high quality training by developing evaluation tools and analyzing areas for growth
Responsible for new hire quality assurance for 30-60-90 day
Manage all content used for training, onboarding
Understand YETI’s stores system and tools and supports launch and training of all new systems and processes
Provide leadership with updates of trainee progress, gaps in knowledge and plans to address
Collect evaluation results and maintain employee training records to track training needs and areas for training enhancement
Ability to analyze training effectiveness to adapt training materials and to ensure comprehension and to evaluate additional training needs
Identifies themes in performance gaps, causes of the performance gaps and provide solutions to training professionals in an environment of continuous improvement
Evaluates the effectiveness of training based upon formal and informal feedback from customers and end users
Partners with retail store leadership to identify skill improvement opportunities and makes recommendations on how to solve for knowledge gaps
Conducts training sessions and develops criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of training activities
Implements and manages a process to ensure that all training documentation, reports and data are current
Maintains and updates records of training activities, participant progress, and program effectiveness
Maintains and updates skills by researching new training and educational, and multimedia technologies
Qualifications and Attributes:
Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in retail management, retail operations, or retail project management
Store manager experience required; Multi-unit leadership experience preferred
Proven ability to drive for operational and continuous improvement excellence
Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to build strong cross-functional and team relationships
Excellent decision-making ability in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills developing a premium portfolio of retail store
Proficient computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and software programs
High Competencies in Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to travel to retail stores
