Job Description

Lifestylez is in search of a Social Media / Email Marketing Specialist to join the team! The position may be performed remotely, however you must be in the Orange County, CA or Denver, CO area to meet regularly.

POSITION SUMMARY //
The Social Media/Email Marketing Specialist is responsible for planning, production and development of our social media properties, and managing all email marketing with the goal of fostering thriving communities and managing the conversion of those communities into potential customers.

We are seeking an enthusiastic marketer who is experienced and passionate not only about using social media and email marketing to drive positive change and impact to the business, but also someone who is passionate about travel and adventure culture. The right individual will be passionate and currently engaged deeply in social media, with a keen desire to learn. A blend of strong, creative and analytical skills coupled with the ability to work collaboratively with other teams is a must.

Lifestylez is located in Southern California in the charming surf town, San Clemente. Candidate must be located in either Southern California (between LA and San Diego) or the Denver, Colorado area. The position is remote, but candidate must be available fore regular meetings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES //

1.) Strategy
• Responsible for the day-to-day management of the social media communities (including strategic campaign development, advertising execution, engagement, managing creative processes, reporting) across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other relation outlets.
• Ability to assess current social media brand properties and make recommendations for content and ads
• Recommend a social media strategy aligned with business and marketing objectives

2.) Content
• Responsible for daily posts to all social media outlets
• Create content calendar to drive posts
• Create and curate content to drive engagement and generate leads across social medial channels
• Manage the development and deployment of monthly newsletter
• Develop various marketing/informational emails related to our trips
• Implement a blog and develop content on our website

3.) Growth
• Ability to grow the Lifestylez footprint by increasing following, reach, engagement and impressions
• Grow following organically as well as with strategic promotions and campaigns

4.) Maintenance
• Monitor and address social media customer feedback to achieve positive brand perception and service; serve as foundation for customer dialogue
• Update all social media channels to ensure that all content is consistent with brand messaging, current videos

5.) Reporting
• Establish, track and report integrated metrics for email and social marketing
• Identify trends of what our brand community is discussing
Innovation
• Stay ahead of the curve on industry news with blogs, newsfeeds, trends, technology

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS //
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, digital media/communications, or related field
• Relevant experience in social media
• Fluency with the back-end tools used to manage content (organic and paid) for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and other social media channels
• Familiarity with SendGrid
• Experience managing Facebook, Twitter, SnapChat YouTube, Vimeo and Google Analytics
• Team player with an extremely positive and upbeat attitude

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS //
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent consultative and interpersonal/communication skills
• Ability to work independently, set day-to-day goals and meet commitments
• Proficient organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple, overlapping, and potentially conflicting priorities
• Detail-oriented
• Cross-functional collaboration skills
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple social media accounts
• Demonstrated a strong writing ability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented organization
• Understanding of social media optimization and SEO/SEM principles
• Pay-per-click experience
