We are an online retailer of men's fashion jewelry located in Covina, California. Our website is KingIce.com. We have been in business for more than 10 years. We are looking for a full-time employee to work as a buyer/purchasing specialist for our King Ice retail and wholesale divisions. You must be hard working, quick, accurate, well written, consistent and dedicated.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Performs market research, negotiates price, delivery date, and other necessary commitments based upon authorized requisition.
- Responsible for completing purchase order (PO) files, performing price analysis, receiving appropriate approvals, expediting,processing the payment request and closeout.
- Provides guidance and information to requester that includes communication of procurement actions and assist with special or complex requirements.
- Perform inventory control of retail and wholesale products
- Maintains procedures to assure follow-up and administration of purchase order files.
- Responsible for the monitoring of vendor performance, including the management of the deliverables
- Serves as point of contact and interacts with customers, vendors and management regarding contract requirements and issue resolution.
- May require site visits in support of establishment of new suppliers.
- Provide leadership and mentoring less experienced staff.
