About the job

Founded in 2000 by one individual with a relentless drive to live the outdoor adventure to the fullest, TOBE was created to stay true to the needs of outdoor athletes by providing uncompromising quality with designs that both look and feel good. With roots stemming from every adrenaline-fueled activity we grew up enjoying, our gear is meant to be (ab)used, and we aren’t above adding pieces of Kevlar® to exceed quality expectations. In short, the quality and
durability of our products are unmatched.

We serve our North American customers out of our small Denver office with over 25 sales representatives and brand ambassadors based throughout the region.

We are looking for a Sales and Customer Support Specialist to join the team at headquarters in Denver.

• Are you collaborative in your approach, a good communicator, detail oriented and self-motivated?
• Do you have at least 2 years of customer service experience?
• Do you enjoy the all hands on deck approach that working for a small company brings, and pitching in where needed?
• Are you looking for a position in a company that wants you to grow?
• Does being an office-based critical customer and sales support staff member for ¾ of the year, while spending the other quarter hauling a trailer around the country, setting up and breaking down heavy materials, and leading trade shows sound like the crazy combination that has your name written all over it?

If this sounds like you then read on!

TOBE Outerwear is looking for a Sales and Customer Support Specialist who will report to the VP of Operations while also supporting the National Sales Manager with trade show events.

In this role you will assist with dealer sales, customer service, and event management. Gain expertise in the features and benefits of TOBE products through extensive product training, and successfully communicate the unique qualities of our products and services to customers. Respond to inquiries, trouble shoot customer issues, and manage warranties and returns. As the Sales and Customer Support Specialist you will have regular, close communication with
consumers, dealerships, and other departments within our small and dynamic company.

While the bulk of this role entails office-based work as the first point of contact for consumers and dealers, the event management aspect involves driving our 35ft trailer around the country, setting up and breaking down the exhibits, and managing brand ambassadors and event staff during the shows. This includes lifting up to 50lbs at a time and means travelling for about 8 weeks during the 3-month trade show season.

If all of this sounds like you, and you would like the opportunity to grow your career within TOBE, consider joining our team where your personal contributions will help drive, support, and expand our rapidly growing brand.

In this role you will:

Support Sales and Customer Service:
• Be the first point of phone contact for consumers and dealers, spending 10-50% of the day, depending on season, on the phone.
• Support dealer and customer service departments, addressing issues and resolving them in a timely manner.
• Recommend products to new and existing customers and suggest replacement options if needed.
• Communicate in a timely and effective manner with customers regarding inquiries, questions, problems, and shipping and tracking information.
• Assess individual customer needs on a case-by-case basis and suggest how TOBE products can meet their requirements.
• Assist National Sales Manager and Customer Service Lead with mail and shipments.
• Coordinate and discover event and sales opportunities.
• Learn and remain proficient on all product lines.
• Maintain a working knowledge of TOBE brand history, image, and mission, and successfully communicate this message to our customer base.

Support East Coast Trade Shows & Events:
• Lead assigned snowmobile trade shows and events, managing all aspects including set up and break down of event booths, and managing ambassadors and event staff throughout shows.
• Drive 35ft trailer to assigned trade shows from Denver to shows as far as New York.
• Meet trade show goals and report, review, and present show KPI’s to Marketing Manager and National Sales Manager.

Other:
• Maintain vehicles and trailers as necessary.
• Help plan for purchase of new vehicles and supplies as necessary.
• Desire to continually improve systems, processes, service, and communication, both internally and externally.
• Maintain quality relationships with TOBE team members, customers, dealers, ambassadors, and relevant providers and community members.

To be successful in this role you need the following:

Skills and attributes
• Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and spoken language.
• Maintain a professional phone manner at all times.
• Anticipate and resolve or recommend actions for issues.
• Explain terms or concepts to those not familiar in a manner that is both clear and demonstrates product advantages.
• Collaborate closely with management, staff, product ambassadors, and customers.
• Maintain a positive attitude and promote a spirit of cooperation and teamwork with co-workers.
• Pay close attention to detail, and actively manage timelines and deadlines.
• Strong sense of self discipline.
• Works independently without close supervision.
• Proactive approach with customers and dealers.
• Experience and passion within the powersports or ski and snowboard industry preferred but not required.

Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge
• Minimum 2 years of customer service experience.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability; able to drive large trailers.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Working knowledge of SAP and HubSpot, or similar, a plus.

• Works evenings and weekends during trade show season, and occasionally at other times.
• Travels approximately 8 weeks during the 3-month trade show season.
• Lifts and carries up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.

• Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
