Job Description

Pretty Great LLC is in search of a Product Developer to join the team in Santa Ana, CA.

POSITION SUMMARY //
This position is responsible for managing the product development cycle for assigned styles. Meet brand objectives regarding buy ready deadline, product quality, and margin by performing the following duties. This position is responsible for development process for all seasonal products – creating specs, grading, BOM, technical drawings and materials. The Product Developer will effectively organize and present product line reviews to senior management, as well as create product briefs based on the brand directors input and market requirements to Achieve buy ready deadlines for sales samples and bulk production.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES //
• Initiate and manage fabric/trim development through daily communication with suppliers.
• Schedule fit sessions and be responsible for managing fit and construction for each style
• Work closely with assigned factories to ensure correct construction, fit and accurate BOM’s for sales samples and bulk production.
• Meet deadlines and calendar dates for each season.
• Analyze competitor product as requested.
• Analyze and comment on prototype to ensure quality, construction, fit is aligned with brand expectations
• Be responsible for costing and provide solutions to reduce cost as needed
• Support multiple brands and seasons as requested
• Plans and tracks the development schedule of all products to ensure a timely completion following the predetermined product development calendar
• Interact with the merchandiser in the factories on a daily basis, ability to travel to factories as needed
• Responsible for all color approval
• Responsible for all fabric testing and ensure all fabrics meet brand quality standards
• Provide marketing and sales team with the necessary technical information for each style
• Ensure all fabrics are compliant with government regulations
• Maintains accurate material database and other development records
• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation
• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with coworkers and vendors and including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Respectfully takes direction from manager.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS //
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Communication skills in verbal, written and presentation
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
• Must be adept at various applications; database, spreadsheet, report writing, project management, graphics, presentation creation/editing, and scheduling software
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
