This job contributes to REI’s success by representing the digital retail channel in the cross-divisional planning interpretation, management and digital execution of REI’s Membership program plans and strategies including REI’s Member Mastercard program.

This position partners with marketing, analytics, product management and design to define and execute the digital customer experience for membership programs to meet program objectives and key results.

The ideal candidate is well-versed in using digital data from various sources and can challenge the status quo when needed to advocate for their area of responsibility. They are responsible for integrating customer data with merchandising strategies and marketing strategies, driving on-site traffic resulting in new member acquisition and member conversion into REI’s Mastercard program while maintaining a seamless connection between REI and its members and customers. This role works closely with key stakeholders across the Co-op and is able to effectively advocate on behalf of digital customer behavior to influence strategies and plans to drive results.

This role ensures complete transparency in communication of plans, execution status, performance to plan and best practices.

Your Planning & Navigating Requirements (the plans the job is responsible for creating and executing, and how the job ensures they are implemented)

! Responsible for the digital development, strategy, planning, analysis, creation, execution and communication of plans, strategies and tactics to support membership and REI Mastercard programs.
! Collaborates with relevant stakeholders to drive planning and execution across all digital devices including app, mobile and desktop considering landing and browse path experiences.
! Works directly with marketing and digital retail partners to ensure program is on strategy, on time and meeting overall goals and objectives.
! Manages and leads efforts to ensure approved plans are successfully implemented within the marketing creative execution process in partnership with marketing, creative, design and execution.
! Identifies risks and opportunities for Membership and Mastercard programs and brings partners along to drive change where needed; Proposes necessary recommendations and changes in order to ensure business needs are met.
! Responsible for fostering relationships and working cross-divisionally, in a leadership role, to accomplish business goals and objectives and influence others up, down and across the organization.
! Partners with key digital retail peers to ensure processes are developed and utilized to address the business needs and communication of expectations and deliverables from these groups.
! Monitors customer behavior, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action in order to drive program expected results.
! Responsible for researching trending opportunities within the broader eCommerce marketplace, identifying opportunities and competitive threats to REI’s member program digital experiences; builds plans to address, - communicates to partners in order to maintain a competitive position.
! Partners with Digital Planning to ensure customer programs meet planned goals.

Bring your passion and expertise

! 5 + years of eCommerce Site Marketing and Merchandising experience with an eCommerce/multi-channel retailer.
! 5+ years in process management, and working with technical teams on toolset/feature development.
! 5+ years experience working with content & creative teams including design, web production, and copywriting teams.
! 5+ years marketing analysis experience. A solid understanding of web metrics, online testing methodology, and optimization strategies.
! Experience with web-based analytical tools such as: CoreMetrics, Omniture Site Catalyst, Business Objects or similar demand driven solution.
! Knowledge of key merchandising, marketing business principles specific to web-based merchandising and the ability to apply these principles to achieve planned goals.
! Experience working with content management systems to update website pages.
! Experience with web proofing platforms and processes.
! Proven track record developing program plans that meet/exceed goals.
! Ability to assess important market requirements and opportunities and identify competitive opportunities.

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors.

The pay for this role is: $83700 - $134000 per year .
