This job contributes to REI’s success by ensuring that Distribution Center technical equipment updates, repairs and maintenance are accomplished to support REI's business initiatives and priorities. Troubleshoots, diagnoses, performs and documents preventative maintenance, repairs and modifications. Maintains and contributes to asset management, inventory of equipment parts and 3rd party service agreements related to such equipment. This job provides backup and support for other Facilities Maintenance functions. Models and acts under REI’s guiding values and mission.

A successful Systems Support Technician will be able to perform the following tasks:

Performs preventative maintenance and repair of DC equipment including: Handheld and Wearable RF devices, radios, scales, Push to Light System, printers, Workstations and Cubiscan Machines

Develops and maintains service records, including scheduled and actual maintenance; documents repair and RMA date, required repairs, parts and inventory sourcing, and cost in the applicable systems.

Coordinates with DC Supervisors, Supply Chain Analysts, Vendors and others (as needed) for scheduling of repair and maintenance services.

Maintains appropriate inventory and supplies; helps in purchasing; orders, stocks, and documents inventory in the applicable systems.

Serves as primary IT Support for the Distribution Center team.

Backup to Facilities Coordinator in regards to PLC and conveyor system support

Acts as a resource, helps and serves as a backup to the Facilities team during projects and other situations as needed.

Maintain Server Room and Communications Room. Ensures all associated servers, support equipment, and storage is proactively maintained to optimize performance of the Distribution Centers.

Builds relationship with the IT Infrastructure and Logistics Technology Services teams to maintain the best level of service within the DC.

Maintains ongoing relationships and serves as member on various committees to represent departmental and/or overall company interests; communicates company needs and expectations internally or externally; provides review, input and recommendations as appropriate.

Skills and experience we look for in our Systems Support Technicians:

Understanding of Client Hardware and Software, Wireless Technology and mobile devices, Network and Server troubleshooting and maintenance.

Ability to operate a personal computer using MS Office, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.

Experience managing parts inventory preferred
