Provides sound financial and operational decisions to REI’s management and senior management team that drives resource allocation and mitigates corporate risk within the organization. • Identifies and communicates key responsibilities and practices to ensure the organization promotes a successful attitude, confidence in leadership, and teamwork to achieve business results • Supports the implementation of company programs, procedures, methods and practices to promote REI key messages • Challenges and inspires employees to achieve business results • Ensures employees adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements • Oversees training and development of employees directly and indirectly managed and makes effective staffing decisions • Conducts and ensures the completion of performance reviews • Provides coaching, direction and leadership support to employees in order to achieve department, company and customer results • Establishes and maintains visibility within the department • Monitors operational statistics, reports trends, variances and issues, and takes appropriate action • Manages corporate liquidity • Conducts investing activity • Manages bank and brokerage relationships • Forecasts short-term and long-term cash flow • Manages the corporate travel and employee expense reporting & reimbursement programs (Concur & purchasing card) • Designs effective treasury controls and policies • Negotiates treasury product and service related contracts with our service providers • Ensures contract compliance with banks and other service providers, including lines of credit • Manages foreign exchange including any hedging activities • Manages the Letter of Credit platform • Manages armored courier relationships • Manages and executes large cross-divisional projects involving senior management • Develops, analyzes and implements process improvements • Performs the daily cash settlement and reconciliation function on an as needed basis • Serves as a subject matter expert for treasury operations • Assists the Director, Treasury and other Finance leaders on various operating issues in support of REI’s goals • Supervises two or more treasury personnel Bring your passion and expertise • 5+ years of cash management, treasury and/or finance experience • 2+ years leadership experience • Strong project management experience • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Strong technology skills including advanced Excel, Tableau experience preferred • Experience in banking services, products and regulations • Experience in customer payments concepts, including merchant processing, interchange, payment networks • Certified Cash Manager or Certified Treasury Professional • Experience with a growing multi-unit retailer preferred • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred Why you'll love it here We’re a passionate community of people who believe in one simple truth: an outdoor life is a life well-lived.
